Watch out sandy , chicken will come and peck you
But Friedel is better than Lloris right now?
You play until your form doesn't warrant it. Gallas has done little to keep his place but Friedel has done nothing to lose his.
We have a big game on Sunday, our 4th home game and still waiting for a win. If Lloris plays he will be targeted and will get a going over - ease him in to English football. Friedel all day long at present

.....
HRH I've no problem with the above and whilst Brad has been awesome I thought Hugo was outstanding as well....This may be AVB's biggest problem , from my own point of view I'd go with Hugo but give Brad massive pats on the back
TBH AVB is a lot harder than he looks and I'm sure he'll do what he believes is right and wont worry about hurting a players feelings

That`s the easy cop out. You go with what is best for the club, end of. Friedel stood rooted to the line for every set piece at Reading, a better team than them would have punished him. Lloris is one of the best in the world. Not sure why he should be not thrown straight in.
Problem with goalkeepers is you cannot 'ease' them into the premier league.
With out field players, you can play them along side more experience players who can get them out of trouble, whilst they are still learning. If a keeper makes a mistake, then 99% of the time you get punished.
Also, outfield players can come on as subs and work their way into the game. Now with keepers they will be expected to be fully concentrated and alert from the minute they walk on the pitch. So, if we are to play Lloris, he will have to dive into the deep end and play the full 90mins. No time to be eased into the game.
Hugo against QPR.
Brad in the league cup mid week.
Then AVB to make big decision for Man Utd.

It's not an easy kop-out, it's called rewarding players for playing well. Friedel's strength isn't coming off his line, we all know that, but he is the calmest pair of hands we have had between the sticks in the last 20yrs - Lloris will get his chance, but not yet.

While this is true, it would be far better to play him up at Carlisle in the week than against QPR in a nervy home game when we need a win. Give him English cup games and Europa duty to start with, ease him in a little and he'll be fully ready when Brad has a dip. Even the best keepers have a rude awakening in England with the lesser protection they are afforded

Friedel has not not kept a clean sheet this season yet, so although he is perceived to be doing OK, the sign of a good goalie is keeping clean sheets. Agreed he has not done anything particularly wrong, but Lloris needs to go straight in now, end of.
Ridiculous logic, you haven't a clue. Do you seriously think clean sheets are the criteria you should judge keepers on? City have conceded more than us this season - should Joe Hart be dropped?

Joe Hart has not been playing that well this season, so not so ridiculous. I think we are differing on this one. You obviously want to keep a 41 year old goalie playing until he drops, by which time Lloris will have departed for pastures new, and the replacement will probably be Gomes again, or a YTS lad.
If you have the best, then you play the best, and at the top of his form Lloris is one of the best goalies in the world.
Yep I say put them both in.....clean sheet cant argue with that.
Oh did anyone notice we didnt give away any free kicks anywhere near our own box last night? something we seemed to do a lot in the closing minutes of games last season.
Friedel has kept us in the game for both home league games so far, and has probably been our best player in both. Hey, let's drop him though eh? Hugo has a sexy name and cost 12m.
Who is saying play Friedel until he drops - not me. I say play him until his form warrants it. Currently it does, despite your clean-sheet bollox

That is not the way to conduct any sort of discussion. You obviously favour Friedel, and I favour Lloris. I don`t know why you are resorting to bad language just because some poster disagrees with you.
I don't favour Friedel at all, I simply think that if you play well you deserve to keep your place. The wet it should be.
I have been to both league games at home and Friedel has been outstanding. If Brad has a dip in form then Lloris gets his chance. Quite a simple concept, but one you fail to grasp. Your clean sheet reason was B so I called it as B - the moral is don't talk B
HRH Ledley King
I have moved on now mate, the bottom line is whoever is in goals, Spurs need to start keeping clean sheets.
