No he's he's done the opposite and built a very good squad. Downings ability to cross and carroll's ability in the box will bring a lot of goals. Like Rooneys season where Valencia put the ball on his head every match. Add to that a strong midfield with lots of depth. - Basically to sum up you are an idiot fan who knows nothing about football and i'm guessing most real Man Utd fans ( who can see Liverpool are improving ) thinks you're an embarassment.

Do you believe Liverpool would have had little chance regardless?
Thank you for highlighting yourself as a fool.

Jesus Christ. How do you dress yourself in the morning?
I mean really, is that supposed to make sense?
Wow. Just wow.

Why the immaturity?
kanchelskis - maybe you can tell from my name that I am not a Liverpool fan but I’d put a wager on it (and I have already done so) that Carroll will be the top English scorer next season.
But due to the fact that you used the words (lose turn of phrase) "gotta" (I assume you me "gonna" ) and "yas", I'm going to stop debating with you as I am far too intelligent for this. Good luck in all future endeavors. I feel you may need it.
AlwaysUnited (U4063)
What immaturity? Unless you mean the Kanchelskis fella.
There is none from me - just your puerile self by all accounts.
Unless it's a rhetorical question of course and then you would need some self-assessment and maybe some counselling.

Very quite? come on, it's one or the other
Robbing_Hoody
I write an article about Liverpool and ask for your opinion then you question my self-esteem.
I then ask why you produced such an immature response and you suggest I seek counselling.....
It's not me who has the problem.
Not sure why people are ragging on the signings themselves, they've added to the squad quite well and if they can improve at the back without stunting the youngsters development they'll have done very well.
The prices paid are a bit steep but the signings are pretty solid
Not sure why any United fan is criticisng Liverpools spending to be honest.
The fact was that Liverpool had to bring in new players.
Whether these players cut it will be a debate for further down the line, not before the ball has been kicked for the start of the season.
Personnaly. I don't rate Downing, but that is not because Liverpool have bought him, it is because I have followed him quite closely because he has often been touted as a replacement for Giggs.
He may well prove me wrong and become consistant for Liverpool. They have lacked a spark on the left, probably since the days of John Barnes.

Even fergie is getting a wee bit worried!
Aquaman
He is not getting worried, he is acknowleging that Liverpool will be challenging. He has said exactly the same about Chelsea, City and even Arsenal.
He said exactly the same things before the start of the season last year as well.

People with a problem, such as yours, rarely think they do I'm afraid.
You may judge it as immature but I'd beg to differ. You see people with low-self esteem often try and make themselves feel better by lamenting other people.
At no point do I think you are interested in my, or anyone elses, opinion. I think you were intimating that the signing were not of the required quality.
Do you write a similar article on Arsenal? Even though they are a more likely challenger? No.
As such it is fair to say that my response was not immature at all. In fact your article is an therefore I suggested that you had low self-esteem which is clearly true.

Yes Liverpool needed to spend, strikers had to come in, they needed width and also a bit of work at the back.
In January they got strikers.
I'm very surprised they invested in central midfield this summer as they have good ability and depth in that area IMO.
