TL, you moved to Brummie yet?
Hannover are a good team to watch. Dortmund are great. Reus is a very good player.
RVP, going to Southampton instead lad. You?
Off to Eastbourne on Sunday.
It's one of those in between seasons, where Kaiserslautern aren't in the top division, so this season I'm rooting for Mainz... even though I should probably looking out for Hamburg.
Koln Shame they got relegated. Far to nice a stadium for 2.Bundesliga. Other than them I like Schalke
De Bruyne and Bruma
SCHALKE

Dortmund my favorite team
Reus, Kuba, Lewandowski, Piszczek, Gotze etc.
Every season has a Cinderella story
Last year it was Monchengladbach, who barely escaped relegation the year before.
This year it is the promoted Eintracht Frankfurt side who are now on a 4 win streak - a record for promoted teams. Yesterday, they beat Nuremberg away, a resilient team who do not concede points at their ground easily.
That is what makes the undesliga quite exciting really, much like the premier league.
Remember Mainz? For half a season, they had just been promoted yet were challenging for Europe. The team spirit was great for them that season, they just seemed to really enjoy themselves and be happy whenever they won. Likes of Holtby and Schurrle were there as well. Didn't last the full season, but imagine someone like Southampton or Reading staying at 6th/5th for most of the season.
German teams have, Bayern apart, been very disappointing in the Champions League for about a decade now, though.
Probably due to teams being unable to hold on to their big players after success, but it is a shame. Before then we saw Dortmund win and reach a final, Leverkusen going close as well.
Only Schalke have really had a run since then (in my memory anyway) and even they were humbled as soon as they met a decent team.
Schalke have a quality team with quality players i.e Hunty, Howedes, Papa, Farfan etc.
Wasn't Farfan's contract ending last summer?
Also has Reus started the season well?
Dortmumd definately have the quality to have a run in the CL. Their manager is still young and relatively unexperienced in the CL.
But I'm guessing their front 4 will be:
Lewandowski
Reus Goetze Blazycowski/Grosskreutz?
With Gundogan behind as well. Could cause most teams problems.
Dortmund were unlucky last season to be in such a difficult group. Never nice having to face Arsenal in the group stages.
This season the draw has been kind though. Just got to get past Real Madrid and Man City!!
This is what I meant by the disappointing campaigns of German teams in the CL. Dortmund ranked lower than Celtic , Anderlecht, Braga, Kiev etc.
They need to improve their rating to get out of seeding group 4, but have a difficult task to do so.
I personally think that Dortmund should have got through that group really!
They had Arsenal, Olympiakos and Marseille in that group, really should have been getting through with Marseille 3rd and Olympiakos 4th.
They have a even tougher group this season but they must win all of their home games to have a chance of going through. Must be Ajax twice and beat Man City and Real Madrid at home to have a good chance of getting through.
No Group is easy in the Champions league at all but I do feel they have a difficult one this time around.
TBK, No Farfan stayed on because he was linked with moving to Peru (god knows why) this summer.
Reus made an excellent start to the season, watching him makes Dortmun's attack become alive!
I think the strongest Dortmund attack is probably:
Reus Gotze Kuba
Lewandowski
But they might swap Reus and Gotze around a lot as Reus is just as good in AM and Gotze makes more of an impact on the RW I feel.
