How knee-jerk is Venables?
I can't stand Venables! No matter how good you were, if you wasn't the right shade he would boot you out of the team!
Wenger did leave.
Well he left his misplaced obsession of doing it 'his way'
By changing the recruitment policy, and purchasing ready made players, you have a chance to start moving forward.
Still think you will come up well short in this years title race, there is still a weakness at the heart of the defensive midfield for me.
Well he left his misplaced obsession of doing it 'his way'

You mean the financial restraints the stadium put on us have eased meaning there is more money to spend.
Also, there was never a time when Wenger did not buy experience. This is just a myth.
The formatting of that article is painful.
'Financial constraints'????!
He was paying £100M+ a year in wages to those "kids" wtf would he have had to pay them when they grew up?
And there in lay the problem.
£100m a year? Does that include the entirety of the staff?
We have never paid over £100million to the kids. As I said in the post you responded to, we have always had experience.
Players like Ignasi Miquel, who has a fair amount of first team games, only gets around 5k a week, Francis Coquelin just a little more at 15k.
More of the reported £130 million wages is taken by Wenger, Kronke, Gazidis and other staff than "kids".
Only about £2.2 million is spent on wages for players not part of our first team squad, which wouldn't get you a league 1 player for a season.
Adrian Durham is a complete to$$pot
By kids, I mean the Likes of Denilson, Bendtner, Vela put on £50k a week, over a four year contract that is £10.2M each.
Or put another way...
For the money spent on their 'education' at Arsenal, waiting for them to be ready, you can have a Podolski.
That is how Wenger has changed.
Money doesn't even come into it.
Arsene has performed a tremendous balancing act while operating under the financial burden of teh emirates stadium.
That balancing act has meant the team maybe hasn't been as good as it could have been if more money had been spent but has been "good enough"
There's no denying that some of the youngsters were overpaid for their limited roles in the team (I'm thinking of denilson here) but we have managed to continue to compete with the billionaire clubs on a relative shoestring when we could so easily have become a Liverpool, Everton or even Villa under a different manager

Every team has duff signings they can't get rid of. it's just at Arsenal it's more highlighted because of our financial constraints. Over the last 3-4 seasons the club has been trying to do something about it.
Wenger still hasn't changed his policy on getting kids just that the club will now be careful on what to pay them and as the experience ones like Cesc, Nasri, RVP and Song leave he would be dumb not to replace them with ready made!
He's always gone for players like Poldolski, Wenger's criticism is more that he doesn't spend money on the £20million + superstar player.
Most pundits were saying that Poldolski would be a flop anyway!!!!!
However Arteta was an exception to his buying policy but I doubt that he will buy another player like him again for a long time.
Thing is, all the time Wenger was on his so called "youth project" he was bringing in experienced players, on wages higher than our average wage. Squillaci is an obvious example, a player who is alledgedly on £70k a week. This is, imo, a bigger problem than paying a kid with prospect £10k a week in order to stop him doing a Paul Pogba or Fran Merida.
People always talk about us overpaying duds with big wages etc. as if we're the only club to do it lol. even Liverpool have a higher wage bill than us. United's is a lot higher and City/Chelsea is miles above that.

Arsenal ARE a 'Billionaire Club'
Multi!
we're self sustainable so our owners' wealth is irrelevant anyway.
It is entirely relevant.
Your Owners chose not to pay for the new stadium with cash.
Instead they loaded the Club with debt.
Arsenal FC chose not to win.
Kroenke or Usmanov weren't involved with Arsenal when we decided to build the stadium, so it wasn't possible for them to 'choose' anything
and our debt is the equivalent of a mortgate, nothing wrong with that. but still if we're self sustainable then it doesn't matter how rich our owners are, simple.
No they weren't involved in those decisions, that was other Bilionaires!
They kept their hands out of their pockets, and stuck them in yours !
Then, having loaded the Club with debt, made £100M's if profit for themselves.
How AFC fans can endorse this as an Ownership model to be admired, and at the same time vilifie those willing to spend their own money, will forever remain a mystery to me.

Blind eye to what? She sold shares, nothing wrong with that. Hardly stealing from the club, as you alluded to.
