By all accounts Nathan Thompson had a great game today...so good to see a 'home grown' young player getting, and taking, his chance.
In a game that was the mirror opposite of the dross of the Orient game, we totally out played a very under performing B'muff side, which for the better part were, aimless, clueless and toothless against us. Our play was allowed to flow very much as we wanted, but the revelation that was Thompson was so easy on the eye.
While Ritchie scored with a bullet shot it was Thompson who was revelling in his task at right back, fast running, tracking back, interplay with Ritchie, interplay with mid field, chasing down balls, stretching, jumping, ambition, purpose, drive, commitment, composure, all added to good speed, superb agility and a rawness of youth that made it all the easier to watch, a young man who today came of age in front of his home crowd. Long may he continue.
The rest of the team all played their parts in a good game which was made easier than I thought possible by a side with no plan B, in honesty, I wonder if they had a plan A and their own supporters were calling for the managers head before half time. Oh dear.
Some good stuff today, but I'm not fooled by this display, which it has to be said was won at a canter, the B'muff side looked as if they have divorced themselves from their management. Graban looked a shadow of the threat we know he can be. A far better performance today from Town, had we lost this one then I think the world would have been a far different place this evening.
Red, I have sent an e-mail to the right man to help sort your issue with Player. I can't guarantee anything, but I'll follow it up with a call sometime on Monday.
Thanks SF,
I did actually get into it yesterday, but still don't know how. After they had given me a new password, browser & a set of instructions which bore no resemblance to the screens on my computer, I finally went back to what I had before. Typed in my old password & it worked.
But, this morning, I can't even get into the Town site. This seems to be the problem. When I go there, I usually have a little box inviting me to enter. Now, this box doesn't appear. I wanted to have a look at my bro's pics of the game, but just can't do it.
Good performance though yesterday.
Red,

Don't understand this at all...Flint is our best central defender IMO, apart from which he's 23 whilst Ward is 34.
Risser has scored for Stevenage...hopefully they'll want him permanently!
