I have a serious man crush on Vertonghen after today. He had a great game.

Vertongen was fantastic at Left back.I would be tempted to start him there but he is also a very good CB.

Vertonghen has been class from the start in my eyes, he just looked a bit nervy at westbrom. Not many defenders are as versatile as him.

Thought Vertonghen was outstanding today.

We was lucky to win today also.

Just hope AVB has learned thay you dont play Bale at LB & Dempsey LM.

Also,never want to see Sandro & Livermore together at Centre Mid..ever!

Good day, but AVB now needs to see sense and bring in both Lloris and Caulker, yet another goal conceeded, the old fellas at the back have had their day. Bale is no full back, and needs to go back to his normal position, and if BAE is not fit, then Naughton has to start. AVB then needs to keep the same defence, and not keep changing it. And Sprus really do need to be playing two up front at home.

Thought Vert was excellent but Caulks when he came on was absolutely excellent

Didn't watch the game as I was watching city vs city feeders. Kept updated via the app and sounded like we struggled a fair bit. Good to see that we got the rub of the green instead of conceding late again. Just need a few more clean sheets as I've got vertonghen in my dream team! COYS!

I'd like to see a full game of Vert at left back for us, but at the same time I don't really trust Gallas too well. Vert and Caulker should start against United as a centre back pairing

Play the kids against Carlisle and let's have a go at Man U - what's to lose? Verts and Caulker in central defence unless LB is still still subject to injury. Although Vertonghen looked comfortable at LB against a determined Rangers side today.

This is a different Spurs we're watching now, we've got to improve our first half performance though - shocking stuff.

Bale's I think the players were in shell shock at the fans actually cheering for them at home for the first time this season and just froze

Having said that I thought we looked very good in the first twenty, and then the defensive mistakes (Walker, Gallas) and failure to find the midfield or build play from the back (which AVB demands) started the crowd and players off each other.

Nerves were evident, but we came through Happy time tonight
