I heard a fact on QI the other night made me think of him.
Elephants despite having massive ears don't actually use them for hearing. They use them to control body temperature, I think Bale is overheating since his op
I think he's been found out to a certain degree, and maybe not staying on the wing enough?
Or it could be what messiah said

Maybe someone should tell him where he is supposed to play, left back.left wing, left sided midfield,or a roving commission, the lads confused.com
Personally whilst I recognise he's not in his best form I feel the criticism of Bale is a little harsh.
He's got a goal and an assist in his last two matches, he was quite a threat yesterday in the second half and was also a pretty major threat when he played against Newcastle in our first game.
Yes he had poor games against Norwich and West Brom but I still think he's been one of our most dangerous players this year

the only confused.com round here is you groovy.
this is the spurs board not the arsenal board
I think he has got David Silvaitis, both have been out of form over the same period and both have recently signed new bumper contracts.
I think the problem is psychological.
The hype got to him and he started fancying himself as a Silva/Cazorla type no10. Bale's game is not suited to that role, his strengths are:
1. Pace
2. Power
3. Exceptional crossing ability
What the hell is he doing playing a free role/on the right/in the middle.
It's true that teams may double mark him on the wings but that would give the AM more freedom and space to cause problems to the opposing team. I think he should play on the left and do what he does best.

Chronic go climb up your hickory and bite your bollox.
You softwood plank.
He's learning to adjust to the change in aerodynamics now his ears are pinned back.

To be honest, the fame has gone to his head. He needs to get rid of the women and get back to playing football.

Back to the Bale situation the lads a good left winger and needs to stay out wide,he is a good crosser of the ball and with Dempsey and Defoe getting in the box it could be fruitful.

can you imagine if we'd signed Moutinho instead of Sigurdsson?!
Lennon---Sandro---Moutinho---Bale
--------------------Dembele
------------
dembele isnt the same player there.
thats why martin jol dropped him back into cm for fulham.. wasnt cutting it at am... not enough goals or assists to justify playin there.
I disagree. I think the last couple of games he has been a real threat. He's not at his best, but he is now identified by opposition managers as an important player to stop.
For me, he's still the best player for his age in the league. It's taking some time to adjust to being double marked etc, but I think he's getting there.
"It's taking some time to adjust to being double marked etc, but I think he's getting there."
Blame the team/manager.
This is an issue that has to be worked on in training COLLECTIVELY.
I think he just was never that good. Very 1 dimensional player, the fact that he has failed in his attempt to add more dimensions to his game has probably knocked his confidence. He should have stuck to kicking and rushing down the left wing.
The thing with Bale is that even when he's not playing well, he does still make things happen, he still chips in with goals and assists and because he is double marked he creates space for the others
