Excellent, cheers for that sandy! Does anybody know if I would have to get a ticket from spurs? Or could I get one from the Norwich city shop, just in the away end, stupid question I know!

If you want to sit with Norwich fans get a ticket there more chance of going to the game then trying to get an away ticket I suppose will be doing the same when saints play spurs at St Marys

Cheers Steve, the only reason I ask is because when we played Norwich in a pre season friendly a few years back I bought a ticket in the away end from the Norwich store, maybe different seems its a cup game though..

in three competitions. At least he is taking the cup competitions more seriously than Harry did. The AVB revolution is taking off.

--------------------

I wanted Harry gone at the end of last season too, but these sort of comments are ridiculous. AVB did nothing team-wise that Redknapp didn't in the league cup last night. Players not in the first team at present, a sprinkling of regulars, and a few youngsters. if he does the same at Norwich, it's more than possible we will see a repeat of Stoke away last season - what then? Will you change your mind and slate him?

HRH - I get your point but not the whole story is it, its fine doing that against carlisle a team from the lower reaches, but against Lazio we were full strength, which Harry never would have done! Playing an under strength team against Carlisle isn't the same as doing it against Stoke!

What to praise the team when they are doing not too badly. I think it is you that is ridiculous for seemingly wanting AVB to fail. Maybe you should go support another team.

I had friends who spent fortunes to watch away matches in the Europa only to see a virtual 2nd team , they vowed they'd never do that again but have changed their minds so AVB is doing it right

He did it against the Greeks last season. We lost, and probably played the worst out of all our Europa games

So I point out the flaw in your statement and you cry anti-AVB? Get a grip.

It;s not the praising of a good win I commmented on, just the comment that AVB is doing something different, when it isn't the case - that was nowhere near a first choice team last night as you well know.

Fair point, but probably best to wait until we actually play an away game in Europe before you make the assumption - if he now plays a fringe side v Panathinaikos would you criticise him?

For the record - I actually applaud his selection last night. He got it spot-on. It's a good result and great experience for the younger players.

For clarity, what I object to is the conclusion that the side he put out is proof he is taking the cups seriously when we had a fringe/young side out

Morning HRH

TBH I'd be amazed if he didnt play a really strong side in Poland simply because he won it a couple of years back and I believe he wants to win it again

posted on 27/9/12

As for last night we won 3 zip so it was the right side

Joking aside I thought it was a good mix as well

To some, its a case od damned if you do, damned if you don't with AVB. If he does something positive, it's claimed to be no different to what Harry would have done. If he does something negative, he's a clown that doesn't have a clue.

So far, every interveiw with our players has been in praise of AVB. Senior players saying training is better, more detailed, more organised. Youth players saying they don't feel excluded, that they have a chance.

I still think his season at Porto shows his potential. To go undefeated throughout a league campaign is something special no matter what league you're in. And to win the Europa Cup is extremely tough, look at Utd last season, they got hammered by Bilbao.

He wouldn't have achieved either feat if he was a mug and so there's nothing wrong in saying things are now starting to look up under his leadership.

i dont think HRH is anti AVB. his points tend to be backed up, so I can usually underatdn where he is coming from, even though I usually disagree ultimately

very good point.

what AVB has proved to the squad thus far, is that if they come in, and play well, then they will keep their place, no matter who is waiting to come in (Friedel and Lloris is a classic example), so at least all the squad know where they stand, and competition for places is very high.

its quite refreshing to see actually, although overall the team performances need to be better and more coherent, and i am confident that it will come with time, and i expect us to play well at OT

I don't want him to fail, and nothing I have said here is a criticism of AVB in the slightest.

When he does something perceived to be right is invariably gets an additional "Harry wouldn't have done that'" or something similar added to it, when the same people will cry if a poster mentions something Harry does/did that AVB doesn't and cry "He's left, get over Harry" or something similar.

I was highly critical of Harry lin the Spring of last season and wanted him to leave. I judge AVB on his own merits, I implore everyone to do the same.

"We lost, and probably played the worst out of all our Europa games"

TBF, the PAOK home tie lineup was our strongest during the group stage.

But IMHO the problem was you had players who :

1. Were returning from injury

2. Had very little competitive match time in their legs

3. Had probably played a competitive game that season with hardly any of the rest of that lineup.

And it showed.
