I think your wrong. They were getting stick in last night.

Sometimes people see what they want to see.

Agreed 7, Motherwells approach to us is different, but so is Aberdeen's approach to Rangers.

Football has many variables, it's a weird game. EG, if the bet was who will score the most goals at CP, Benfica or Raith Rovers who would you choose?

"Feel free to disagree"

Absolute mince.

If you're going to suggest that professional players are cheating their own fans by trying harder against one team than another, you need a reason for them to be doing that.

Even if you believe that all Scottish players are cheats, and all Scottish players are also Rangers fans, why would any of the following play differently against Rangers than Celtic.

Randolph (Irish), Humphrey (Jamaican), Ojamaa (Estonian), Daley (Jamaican).

"I didnt question the players commitment but saying there seems to be different strategies when playing both sides of the OF"

That goes without saying, no team on earth approaches each game in exactly the same way. Utd play differently against St Johnstone as against Aberdeen. So what?

Here's something to burst the OP's theory.

How long has McCall been manager at Motherwell?

Motherwell have not beaten Rangers in any competition at Ibrox in what will be a minimum of 16 years now.

Still think it is because McCall sends his team out to lose?

Maybe they think Celtic play better football than them and they wont beat them at their own game??

Maybe they look at Celtic and see a small relatively young side with very few big burly guys, I mean who is there of any real stature in the Celtic side, Samaras??? who else??

Last night there was Sandaza, McCulloch, Cribari....before we've had Broadfoot, Lafferty, Goian, Bocanegra, Bartley, Jelavic.....

and correct me if I'm wrong, but didnt Celtic beat Motherwell 4 times last season, with a 4-0 drubbing in there somewhere......and only one goal scored by Well???

Pi$h talk

Would love to see Celtic play Sunderland then if a guy who"still loves his gaffer" was a factor

A very good win for the newco, the best in their history without a doubt.

The proof of the pudding will be in the tight matches in the League though where they have another toughie in Forres Mechanics. Another team full of plumbers, posties, civil servants and road sweepers.

I'd say every team tries harder against Celtic and Rangers because of who they are - but both Aberdeen and Motherwell are exceptions.

"Still think it is because McCall sends his team out to lose?"

It was also the case under McGhee, that famous Celtic-supporting Rangers fan. And Jim Gannon, one of very few Rangers fans from Dundalk. And of course Finnish Rangers fan Harry Kampmann

Ste3vie, if you were a Motherwell fan how would you feel if your manager publicly worships a rival clubs manager?

By all means show him respect but blowing him off on tv is cringeworthy.

Ever heard of the term "bogey" team guys???

Inverness ring any bells???

Some teams just have a $hite record and a habit of getting poor results against some teams more than others...end of

I've experienced it.....at Rangers....with McLeish and Sir Alex......and we played them in the Champions League under his tenure and lost....so I know what if feels like

Oh so its different to suit your agenda is it...nae bother.

Did you ever hear Mark Mchee sooking up Celtic's erse when he was at Aberdeen...thought not

Don't have an agenda St3vie, I was expressing my opinion on McCall as a manager. Earlier I described him as a "fine player".

"I'd say every team tries harder against Celtic and Rangers because of who they are - but both Aberdeen and Motherwell are exceptions."

On what evidence are they exceptions?

Dundee Utd have only beaten Celtic twice since 1993.

Dundee United have beaten Rangers so many times since 1993 I genuinely couldn't count them all off the top of my head. Dozens of times.

Only an imbecile would explain that by suggesting that with the hundreds of different players and formations we've had since 1993, and the 8 different managers, we generally try harder against Rangers than against Celtic.

So why are you suggesting it explains the same sort of stats for Motherwell and Aberdeen? I've still never heard a coherent, logical explanation for this. It remains absolutely nonsensical rubbish.
