Charles Green bought 54 league titles for £5m.
Arsenal bought Walcott for £12m.
And people used to praise Wenger for getting success with limited funds.

Dont complain, at least Arsenal can be a success at something.
Getting the pash ripped out of them.
Charlie,
I think this is the first time we have agreed about anything!
Just dont pick on Leeds or there will be trouble!
Arsenal - big club
SPL - pointless league.
Even the Scotch don't give a fack about it minus it's biggest club.
Lex... As a told you before accept failure
A feeding club thats what Arsenal are.
Be fair Mitre...Leeds are a HUGE club
Being Scotch you'd be an expert in the acceptance of failure.
Any tips you have on dealing with it will be gratefully recieved.
I would not accept 7 years of failure so easy.. how do you cope?
By looking north of the border.

Oooohhhh, check you.
Your country has 10 times the population and you have won 1 more title than Scotland.
And you were not even born when it happened.
How do you cope with all the success.
Wanna know what success is, James Bond is the most famous Englishman ever.
Who is most famous for playing him? Oh aye, Sean Connery, a Scotsman.
You cant even be successful at being English!
I wasn't talking about football, mitre.
More life in general.
Most famous Scotch film ever is Trainspotting.
Most famous film about junkies ever is Trainspotting.
It's a damn good movie mind.
How do you know i'm from scotland?
Like Arsenal you failed

Fair point then.
I forgot how unsuccessful the Scottish nation had been. We have never invented anything.
Anyway, i off for a nice wee single malt, whilst i watch the golf on the TV.
Because no one outside Scotchland follows the SPL.
Unless they failed.
Golf.
Single malt.
Enjoy.
SPL does well for its size and revenue streams.
I can't think of another league with population 5million and £13million a season TV revenue which has done as well.
I was only messing with you guys, Henrik. I don't follow it, but it's not a pointless league at all.
In fact I've a bit of a soft spot for Scotland.
Have a good evening fellas.
It just hasn't happened for Arsenal. It's not the end of the world. Many clubs have had trophy droughts of longer than 7 years.
