I've been playing my youth team reserves in cup and midweek games so that my first team is fresh for the important games and the Champions league knock out rounds.

It's working really well so far and my youth players are really benefiting, too.

I have no youth players yet. The young players I do have are decent at best. Apart from Alaba and Camacho and Jese and Deulofeu and Benzia who are all good. Erm. I dunno. Got some pretty crap players who never play though.

I've had at least 100 players come through my youth team now (not counting the ones I signed then released) and have produced about 15 players you could call Premiership quality so far.

With that being said, the very oldest of them is only 22.

Suddenly I've lost my discipline, had 3 red cards this season, 2 in the last 2 and could've easily had more, maybe I'm getting more angry at the game.

Can't keep clean sheets with this useless defense, players don't press the ball at all and just watch people stroll past them. Think I need a break, game is annoying as hell even when I win.

My 80th minute sub somehow got man of the match. 100% passing, and tackled Ronaldo twice.

Go to "tactics" in the team management screen, and change the "defender line" category to "offside trap". Worked wonders for me, although on the fairly few occasions I get caught, I'm dead.

My defense seems to play a mix between offside and a deep line, something I seem to have no control over. I think my defense just has a mind of it's own.

was playing Mallorca, dominated the whole game, missed an open goal and ea somehow screwed me out of a goal from a penalty by not showing the power bar.

I was cool with that, but in the 85th minute, Gio dos santos pops up with a bicylcle kick from outside the box. The keeper should really save to his right, but for some reason he sticks his right leg out, and the ball bounces, up over his leg into the net. I'm not having that, no way.

I would also like to mention the bicycle kick itself was directly from their GK. As in the goalie took the kick, and it landed perfectly for dos santos to bicycle kick it. Ball didn't touch the floor until just before it bounced over the keeper's leg.

Ok, it's clear FIFA just doesn't want me to win this game.

You know how you're about to take a shot, with a clear sight of goal, but the AI defender JUST nicks it from you in the nick of time? Well, I just did that, but the momentum the ball got from the tackle took into Dos Santos (AGAIN ) and it rebounded off his shin and under the keeper's dive. Fack off.

2 points clear after 8 games despite playing pretty rubbish so far, the thrashing of Liverpool was my only good game. Good at grinding out results.

Not for me, but others will really enjoy this. I'd still prefer Ukraine, Greece, Turkey. Plus more licenses, stadiums, faces for the stuff already in the game.

Although I would have the incentive of being able to play as Hereford. Haven't gone near League 2 this year but would be quite good to use Hereford again.

What annoys me is the way that people, especially career mode YouTubers like MGH and Calfreezy, always look up the young players with the high potentials. I've really enjoyed my Zaragoza one this year without looking at them. How many times have you seen YouTubers sign Nesta on a free as a quality stop-gap for a couple of seasons, that was a fantastic bit of business. I signed Hyland who is young and has some good stats, but it doesn't look like he's growing much, only 2-3 so far and not growing very quickly, but still an important player. Of course I still have promising players like Alaba, Jese and Deulofeu, possibly Benzia. Yet to see if van Dijk will grow tons but he's so good it doesn't matter.

I literally could not give a solitary chit if it was Gary Neville. The commentary's the last of their concerns.

And you always see these YT comments with people listing their crazy teams with all 90+ overall. Where is the fun in that?

I think it'd be good if sometimes players wasted their careers and reached nowhere near their potential, does that happen now?

I'd prefer the Conference to no league which is always a kick in the balls.

I would rather FIFA 13 with updated licenses they've already got and no glitches or BS than FIFA 13 + tons of new and updated licenses and features which result in tons of glitches.

Also some features that are good ideas but half-arssed need to be improved on. The touchline manager is good but needs to be more detailed, more customisable, perhaps visible other than in matches a la PES. International management is good, make it an option to do it full-time rather than just part-time which we barely ever see in real life.

Licensing department is different to gameplay. It's not like they can't do both.

I know, we have said this many times. In any case, why are there so many glitches in FIFA 13? Even though they are separate both are lacking and some of the things they haven't got/done just seem lazy.

That is what I mean but it's not just badges for Polish teams. It's badges and names for all teams already included, more proper faces for the players, more stadiums.
