Never caught the game myself Ally... Heard we did well though and I'm glad Boogie is back. I'd stll like to see another forward brought in, hopefully Goodwillie or even Miller. A CB is a must also. Was impressed with Hemmings on Saturday myself.

Should be ready for Hearts on Saturday.

I even thought Fleck wasn't too bad. Like a lot of us, I've generally been disappointed with his performances in the first team. He's not getting, and I'm not sure we have the luxury of him ever getting, a sustained run in the team. But I think this is what he needs. It's a kind of Catch 22 type situation. But he was strong and held off opposition well last night.

There were some terrific little through-balls and I thought Kane Hemmings looked particularly good. He tended to bottle it a little, I think, when 1-on-1 with the goalie, but I think he looks a good prospect.

willie
waiting for my lift to the golf(go away rain clouds)
i did wake up a happy bear and still believe the kids are good enough
and should be given a chance

but....i agree-another cb and a striker would be nice-beatie was woeful someone said during the game we should do a lenny with him and not let him on the bus-i agree 100%
i might have been over exited with the kids i seen on show with this post but i expected blackpool to win when we made all the changes and that didnt happen, they did better than ok

cb -yes
striker- yes
lb-yes
to me the left side is a bit weak m8
ortiz played there last night and did ok-always willing to run back and defend and had a good cross for the first goal or was it the second cant mind but good show from him
think thats my lift

How'd your kids get on against the mighty jags? Even the 10m POTY that is Izzy couldn't stop ye gettin pumped

posted on 20/7/11

Thing is, we won't be havering about those kids being genuine back up to our starting eleven. None of the oz squad were at Firhill.

But, you feel free to continue to see Blackpool as the benchmark. In fact, why don't you see if Crainey will sign to help out Papacy at full back.

Back up? I think Ness,Hutton,Wylde, even Fleck all contributed to 3IAR in varying degrees. Naebody's using Blackpool as a benchmark bar u ya bawheid. Anyway there's nae room in your squad for the kids, due to the amount of keech no getting a game and pulling a wage

"deffo go straight back up with quality like that in their team."

Well.... they certainly went straight back doon with talent like that in their team.

Ahem.........

"im not going to rattle on about the kids last night but hutton wylde bendiksen kerkar all did so well in my eyes and no ness in that team
that team of kids looked good -hungry sharp composed fast and fit against a team that could be fav to get back to the epl"

There ya go, 'bawheid'.

Shampoo.... why should we not use Blackpool as a benchmark? Who do you reckon we should use as a benchmark?

"Who do you reckon we should use as a benchmark?"

Might not matter for much longer, that gorilla is still hungry.

Awww yer kids are keech, the tax mans comin, another wan obssessed with his Champions. The rest of the bhoys seem to be talkin about their team this mornin, that beyond you?

posted on 20/7/11

Well, I'm on the Rangers board, so I guess I'll just keep talking pash about the Gers, if that's ok with you?

You keep that conveyor belt running though.

Guys... it's Tim O Tay.... he got battered about on the old boards even more than Jessy did!!!

Believe me... he is great comedy value.

Anyway, Shampoo.... you want to answer my question? Who do you reckon we should use as a benchmark to judge our young boys? You said it should not be Blackpool.... who do you reckon it should be?

posted on 20/7/11

I already said it might not matter. Your boys' benchmark might be the next laddie in the dole queue. Unless they get the bananas in for that gorilla. In Whyte we trust.

Conveyor belt of talent comin from Murray Park and breakin thru to the first team squad? Will do,thats the way to go Meanwhile your kids can dream of a game in the meaningless pre season friendlies

posted on 20/7/11

Yes, you keep that conveyor belt coming.

Might as well, given that players keep knocking back the champions. At least clubs are willing to deal with the runners up. And players.

Funny that. Long live the revolution.

Aye ye sure dealt wi that Belgian keeper

posted on 20/7/11

We did deal very well with that goalie. I am glad my club is being prudent, and not jumping in to deals. Old Stipey never had a problem coming over, and he has an excellent pedigree.

Maybe players and agents are not keen to deal with the Gers, given that there is a chance that the club will not be legally able to honour a 4 year contract after November?

Time will tell.
