Happy about this news aswell boys, we need more firepower upfront especially as the likes of Dempsey and Defoe will get burnt out, can't wait to see Ade again.

I saw pictures of Parker in a training kit on SSN a few days back

Defoe is on fire!!

I like Defoe, but I do know that Ade is better all round and with him back Defoe will prob be dropped within a couple games

" When is Lloris going to start playing"

feel the same way Love friedal but he is not anywhere near as good as Lloris, we need to make Lloris our number 1 before he get's fed up.

Drop it Don. Or face the Dexter spoilers ...

You need a big squad in this physically demanding league and Adebayor is quality. Be interesting to see how AVB reintroduces him with Defoe on form.

Defoe on merit.
But could have done with him during the 2nd half on saturday.

Good news about Adebeyor. He gives a strong physical presence up front, and his able to hold up the ball better than Defoe, although having said that Defoe did really well for the third goal on Saturday. Still the more players fit, the stronger the bench will be.

we really do have quite a well balanced, big strong squad.

ade lloris benny parker naughton and kaboul all to come back into the mix.

old pros like gallas, parker, fridel, cudicini still about

young kids now established, walker, sandro, bale

and the new generation of kids coming through behind them, caulker, townsend, livermore,

and behind that we have talent like pritchard, carroll, and the couli man etc.

if managed well, the squad could be very competitive on all fronts for years to come

I think that Ade and Defoe can both play with Ade playing in the hole, especially for home games.

you really think so Chronic? why so confident?

----------

i am not confident, i just have a sneaky suspicion.

then again i could be completely wrong, and friedel plays until he drops a clanger.. which is basically never. so he will play all season.

tbh.. i think avb after saturday will look and say that a top keeper relieves the pressure by coming out and claiming at least 5 of the 88,000 crosses that man u dropped on his head.

friedel didnt wanna know.

thats one thing i just couldnt work out last season when Harry played Defoe he played him supporting Ade instead of other way around

2 up top can work but if we go 442 then we need another striker in january.

2 out and out strikers and one make shift one (dempsey) is not adequate for a team competing in 4 cups

Defoe has had an excellent start to the season, but no matter how good he is Ade needs to be brought into the selection mix as we can not expect Defoe to maintain this sole striker role indefinately. He will sooner or later systain an injury or other ailment, and we also need the option of varying our strike formation.

Ade has more to offer than JD, he isn't as selfish as JD & has better vision. Plus he does not get offside as much as JD.

Yes JD did well assisting our 3rd goal, but that is a rare thing with him. For me, Adebayor when fit should play with either Defoe or Dempsey up front.
