Agreed that we shouldn't pay more than we sold him for.

If he wants to come back and will accept the wage structure here I'd give him a 2 year deal, but I won't lose sleep if he goes elsewhere.

Noel Edmonds would be best for Rangers...

Why would they sell him for what they bought him for? have you lot lost the plot or something?

1M euros seems a fair price to me........he'd have to take a hit on the wages front but I'd pay that for him.

I think him and Jelavic would be an excellent pairing.

id agree you shouldnt pay more than you sold him for but it wont work like that

he had a short time left on his rangers contract and he has a long time on his bursa contract if you want him id imagine you would need to pay over 1 mil and offer 25k per week in wages

if i was you guys id want ally to pay 1.5 mil for goodwillie and pay him 14k per week and you would have resale value on him the miller resale would be zero

but heres a better idea go for a guy who isnt due in court for rape and find a striker from england lower leagues like mackail smith or someone like that

Bursaspor have rejected Rangers’ “ridiculously low” offer for Kenny Miller and claim the Scotland international is on his way to Cardiff City for a medical.

How humiliating. Another cracking quote.

Got to laugh, they bought him for 300k and suddenly that is a ridiculously low offer.

Rangers are only interested because Miller hates being in Turkey and wants to return to the UK. Doesn't matter how long his contract is for, he wants to leave and paying what they bought him for seems like decent business to me.

zachsda - each to their own. If i were you I would lap it up because its likely to be the last for a while.

“The policy of Rangers is not good,” Kamat told STV. “I don't like it. It is a ridiculously low offer.

“As far as we are concerned, Kenny Miller has been sold to Cardiff City. He is going to be their player and he is not going to Rangers.”

Hail Paradise: I agree that Bursaspor should not accept our low offer as it appears Cardiff have offered more. From our point of view however, we should not pay a premium for losing the top scorer in Scotland for the second half of the season.

Our policy is perfect, providing no other clubs are interested (not the case as Cardiff appear to be serious) or Kenny digs his heels in and says no to every other club waiting for Rangers. If we get him back on those terms great, if not we move on.

Miller's 31 and has a history of hamstring problems, that's unlikely to improve. I'd be happy to see Miller go to Cardiff (who have a more immediate need for strikers than us with Bothroyd and Bellamy leaving) and hopefully we can pick up Goodwillie in August if/when his court issues are resolved.

As for our offer being "ridiculously low", we learnt from them.

Again I'm totally divided on this Miller situation he would definitely make us stronger & the rest of the SPL defences would run for cover with Miller & Jelavic coming at them however is there anyone out there that could come in and do a job who is younger, better, has a 1st touch and is within our price range?

PaisleyBlueNose - of course it seems like decent business to you, you idiot. Why would anybody sell a player for they same they bought him for 6 months into a new contract. If Miller wants to go and rangers want him, pay the cash or shut it. It's embarrassing, how many players/ clubs you have been told to bolt by with your low offers. I'm losing track.

Conway
Bedoya
Cueller

or we could be like our near neighbours, offer them trials then watch them skedaddle.

HailParadise:

Hemed- We offered more but he chose LaLiga. No issue with that for me, what's yours?

Conway- No offer ever made, how can someone say no to no offer?

Bedoya- No idea what the offer was or what they want, first offers are often rejected out of hand though for example Liverpool with Downing.

Cuellar-Fee agreed, terms being discussed.

Goodwillie- No one has agreed a fee with Utd yet, no activity for a few weeks now. Could that be because everyone is waiting to see if he'll be available for away games in the near future perhaps?

Rodriguez- Win some lose some. Reports before suggested £400k would do it, we offered that according to reports and they moved the goal posts.

Miller- I commented on that above.

Celtic have a history of penny pinching and it has doen your club no harm. With Scottish football at it's lowest for years and revenue streams being milked to the max currently I for one endorse Rangers attempts to save a bit here and there.

Every club does it and most transfers will be sorted out in August when the big leagues are up and running and the Premiership clubs have to declare their 25 man squads.

As always though your interest in the Champions is appreciated!

Calm down. Rangers are perfectly right to offer 400k - Miller isn't our top target and we put in a cheeky bid (same as they did to us) for a player that is desperate to leave.

You seem to think we should pay over the odds for a 31 year old with recurrent injury problems?

Bursaspor played hardball with us and won because of the banks. We play hardball with them and might win, might lose.

Cardiff seem seriously interested in him so it looks like he'll go there, no big deal for us and I'll not lose sleep over it.

SPL has no money in it and I'm glad to see the days of Rangers paying inflated wages for old players gone.
