Lahm of Germany is a better left back than Cole.

No he is not. Lahm is overhyped by the Bavarian tools like Beckenbauer.

Having watched Beckenbauer from the time he played at Wembley in 66, then I can assure you he was not an overhyped tool, you don`t lead a team to a world cup win and 3 successive european cup wins and countless german titles if you are an overhyped tool. I suggest it is you that is an overhyped tool you idiot.

sandy... Rooney aside all our strikers are awful. Defoe really just scores tap ins against bottom half clubs. Bent is also a tap in merchant but a slightly better one than Defoe.

Thank you for the abuse . With overhyped I meant Lahm in the first place not the Kaiser.

Very true but he and Charlton nullified each other in the 66 WC final tbf

Ramsay had asked Charlton to do a man marking job on him and it turned out FB had been asked to do the same thing to Charlton

Thik he meant Lahm was overhyped and Beckenbauer was the tool for overhyping him

No, I think he meant me and calling me an idiot.

When I said 'he', I meant you - ie stating that you had called Lahm overhyped but Beckenbauer a tool, not Beckenbauer an overhyped tool. This is getting confusing now

I reckon Martin Kelly would be in if he hadn't been injured, been great at RB this season for us .

So when was the last decent game he had for England then. Rooney is getting caps for doing SFA for England these days.

His form is fine in qualifying. The problem is getting him to a tournament fit

He is England's best forward by a mile and you would drop him? Ridiculous

No he isn't Ricky Lambert is!!!!

Of course Lennon deserves his place, how can he be behind two Arsenal reserves like Walcott and the Ox

Old man Sandy talking carp again

How the hell is Johnson still in the facking squad?!

I thought Jenkinson would be in there as a RB. Walker has been rubbish this season, he needs to sort his positioning out and stop relying on his pace to get pout of trouble because when he's defending the back post that doesn't work. We saw RVP tip-toe in behind him very easily at the weekend, only for RVP to miss a good chance. He played everyone onside for the Kagawa goal....sometimes his pace does not help, he needs to be more alert and less reactive.....that is all!

devonshire. yes, walker has been rubbish this season, and is generally massively overated by our fans.

Jenkinson hasn't decided between England and Finland yet, not sure if he would have got called up anyway though. Walcott may not be great Chronic but what can you do, it shows how lacking in talent we are when we're forced to call up people like Lennon !!

lennon is a far better footballer than the walnut

since he was made a scapegoat in south africa by capello then everybody has overlooked him.

posted on 4/10/12

Lennon has the ability to do more then just knock it into space and sprint.... that's all walnut does. Walnut doesn't run into space and drag defenders with him. Azza does this very well, even if he is up against a quick full back he manages to use trickery to get past, walnut more often then not either gets the ball stuck under his feet or runs out of space.

posted on 4/10/12

One thing walnut has over Lennon is his finishing, but that's it, Lennon is better in every other aspect.
