I have studied that match in great detail, and hence my user name, the immortal Sandy Brown who scored 15 goals in that season`s cup campaign. One game I wish has been around to be at. Brigns a ter to my eye, when you think 115,000 turned up to watch a non league club.
On another note.
Up one elm no fewer than 36 persons had climbed, and the poplars looked as if they were affected with bunches of blighted growth.
That would not be the 36 supporters Chelsea had as a second division club mid 80s.

Our first great team the 1901 cup winning team, were in effect a not very successful Southern League side of the time, but that cup run was an absolute belter, and will probably never be equalled.
