United have the much hated Evra, Ferdinand, Van Persie, Rooney etc. Liverpool have the likes of Suarez, Gerrard, Carragher etc.

Wouldn't say the likes of Ivanovich, Torres and Lampard are widely hated.

well that just made them hate us the more. wining the UCL last season raised the bar of anti-chelsea sentiments to an all time high

First it was Sky who were anti Chelsea, by picking games they were not comfortable favourites to win to show live, while picking gimmes for the other top teams (bubbles)
