Not at the game??

O'Neil's 'tactics' have been a disgrace.

O'Neil is a very good manager. Tactically usually spot on.

Balotelli is a liability, everyone knows this. Defenders are going to try and get a reaction from him. All the top defenders in the champions league will do it, so get used to it.

his tactics are hope to nick a goal on the break and stick the whole team behind the ball for the rest of the game. Genius.

What do you expect? Look at the gulf in players between the City and Sunderland players, City's transfer budget and wage budget compared to Sunderland.

Sunderland have no choice other than to play that way.

No choice, how come Wigan play football, just like reading, Swansea, countless other teams in football with a smaller budget than Oniell??

Wenger made an interesting comment about Allardayce that he is a good manager because he has lasted long in the game.Only reason is because there are chairman simply willing to survive in the premiership thus will employ managers like Pulis,Big Sam and o Niell

They will never, never be employed by a continental team or any club willing to develop the football club and bramd.Look at Stoke, a joke team even though they have survived this long in the premiership.

Its a joke they concede a goal and you know the game is up for Sunderland.

This is how sunderland play every game. They did it at home against wigan ffs

Wigan fight relegation every season. Reading and Swansea will struggle this season to stay in the prem.

Whereas, Sunderland, Stoke etc are mid table clubs and usually have stable seasons.

Look I am against the way Stoke play as it is anti-football, but I can understand the reason why they play like that.

3 teams you mentioned that play so called good football are most likley to go down Sunderland play good football but they are against much better quality so what do you expect. It wasn't that long ago that City did exactly the same......so I guess you are a jump on the band wagon city fan!

Sunderland play like that EVERY game! nowt to do with the quality. They did it V West Ham and Wigan. Footballing powerhouses.

posted on 6/10/12

yeah but finished mid table and will do the same again, so what's your point? They play direct football, so do Stoke so did Bolton, is there a rule against it?? ONeil gets the best out of his players, and I seen to remember his Villa side playing good stuff and look what's happened sinec he left. Boy a few years of money and all many City fans have forgot what it's like to be in the same boat as Sunderland.....you're sounding like the gonners!

bet at the end of the season Sunderland are nowhere near the bottom......didn't this pub side take 4 points off city last season?? You can play all the fancy football in the world in the middle of the park, but if you don't go anywhere and score no goals you're going down. You might as well play it up to the big man.....and you mentioned West Ham, who play that football now under big Sam! Seems to be doing ok there?!

Just wonder if you will feel the same way if they target Rooney and his suspect temper?

Rooney doesn't have a suspect temperament his conduct in an out of football has always been above reproach!

O'Shea is a cart horse off loaded by the rags and he was totally up against it with Balo but the refree somehow failed to see that O'Shea had Balo in a head lock to stop him getting away and he had hold of his shirt at every opportunity which is why Balo was unhappy at the lack of protection from the officials who must have seen what was going on. To try and claim that City used to play like this is just grasping at straws.
