Elite- Writing something on the internet is a disgusting act? Come on. As long as its not along the lines of Thomson then its hardly a disgusting act.
Anyway, I didnt think these new laws regarding posting sectarian comments on sites came in until the bill came in as that didnt cover communications that a phone call or text message would. Obviously he's still got done for it but I thought the whole point was they were changing the law. Regardless, while being wrong its not a disgusting act and comments like these are all over facebook and the like, from both sides.
And you know what elite, the comments were posted on a page called "Neil Lennon should be banned", created by a Rangers fan so therefore it is all your fault.
RELEASE THE SECTARIAN ONE!!
and btw, He has to sign in to police station during Celtic games? Surely this is only during bail as I really cant imagine anyone getting banned from all football grounds for moving their fingers in an undesirable manner on a keyboard.
Funny, not too many of the usual suspects on this thread.
Do some people wish to protect IP information from a few months ago?
I mean. Contributing to calls for someone to be 'hung high' would not go down well, especially after this idiot Celtic fan has been collared.
We are about to enter interesting times, methinks.
davie - racism is disgusting imo, yes.
As for your 'it all gers fans fault anyway' comment. Are you for real? I hope not.
tim o tay - if they arent on the thread, i think its highly unlikely they will answer you!
Random comment. Drivel.
elite - i meant to use a after that, it was a joke.
And racism is disgusting, but there is a difference between racially abusing someone in the street and forming a few characters on a facebook page, none of us even know what was written.
Anyone on here worried about that?

No, I know that behaving in a racist or sectarian manner is wrong and now a criminal offence.
Therefore I will not behave in this way.
So, anyone who behaves otherwise - I don't care how severely punished they are. I'll take responsbility for my own actions and fook everyone else.
This is going to get out of hand..............next thing you know it'll be a crime to advise players not to bless themselves.
You may have missed the point, Elite.
I honestly worry about the forthcoming season. Not enough has been resolved properly.
Davie
the laws are already in place to deal with sectarianism, the new bill will enhance these, it's perfectly rationale for the ghuy to sign on at the police station before every celtic match, how else do they enforce the ban of all grounds???
Pontius why would you want to advise someone not to bless themselves?
since the bbc wouldnt print what he said ,here it is and he deserves everything he gets.....

tim o tay - there was a point?
Other than deflection?
What was it?
pontius - to think you chinned me for whitabootery!
Elite
What am I deflecting? I said the guy is a numptie.
All I am 'pointing' to is the incredibly high levels of irony, when, after a season where one individual was demonized, assaulted, threatened with bombs and bullets, and subjected to a vile internet hate campaign, just because of where he comes from i.e. 'racial' hatred, the first person to be penalized is a selic fan.
Funny, not haha, but funny.
He commented on a 'Neil Leenon should be banned' page. hmmmmmmmmm.
And why would these people want Neil Lennon banned?
one individual was demonized, assaulted, threatened with bombs and bullets
----
and the perpetrator's have been caught and are awiaitng punishment, yes?
Ibrox Elite,
Is it safe for players to bless themselves at castle grayskull without fans gan mental
Henry, read the article again, I think he's only been banned while he's on bail and awaiting sentence. My point in mentioning this was to say I thought a complete ban was too harsh for something done, which was not violent and was no where near the ground.
And I know the laws where in place but I thought there was a loophole with forums and the like because you're not directly communicating with any one person.
Personally I'd rather police resources where spent on protecting me and everyone else from dangers in the street, not protecting my feelings on the internet.

Beats me ask the directors of RFC why no players at ibrox bless themselves, like Arteta did before and after playing for you.
Almost, Henry, almost. You forgot the 'vile internet hate campaign'. I think there are still quite a few folk out there yet to be collared.
As I said, I'm sure, after this idiot's commupance today, there will be more than a few bears nervously casting their minds back to last season's internet activities.
Interesting times ahead, in a fair, open society.
tim - i dont like NL. It has nothing to do with where he comes from tho. Prob loads of people the same as me.
Why is the hatred to lenny cos where he comes from. Be honest, if lenny wasnt a celtic man, you would prob dislike him too?
pontius are you taking the P!ss, i am a celtic fan!!!
Now go and wash your mouth out with soap for insulting me like that

well i'm sure you can direct the police in their enquiries as you seem to know all about this vile internet campaign. I seem to recall some young footballers making comments on social networking sites only to have their contracts ripped up, rightly so as they are role models for soceity.
chaz - yes it is safe. Javier hernandez did it at ibrox when man utd were here last season. Nobody batted an eyelid.
