Most improved is definitely Peter Clarke, he's surprised me massively. Standout performers for me would be Southern and Vaughan, they're the 2 that if you took them out of the team we'd struggle most. For example, our record with and without Vaughan:
With: 17 points from a possible 21. 5 wins, 2 draws, 0 defeats.
Without: 0 points from a possible 0. 0 wins, 0 draws, 3 defeats.
All the midfield 3 have impressed - Southern's the daddy allowing his 2 nippers to go and cause bother.
P Clarke benefitting with playing with decent partners at last - he looked a better player as soon as he teamed up with Morrison last year (and had his double hernia op). Top end of Championship may be a step too far for him ultimately though as he just doesn't want to play it on the deck enough.
Vaughan is the stand out for me - we wouldn't get a top player like him if he wasn't so injury prone - hence when he's in we win and when he's out we don't.
Don't think he's made a bad signing yet - even Beckford's started doing what Larry brought him in for - he did knack all again after his goal until they went down to 10 and he was left 1-on-1. But that's Beckford I guess - a goalscorer - and if he keeps scorng then no problems.
James Vaughan...the lad is a class above anything else we have.
Norwood and Clayton, two decent midfielders who want the ball as much as possible but also aren't afraid to put the boot in and do the hard graft.

the only reason clark was shiite last season is because he was playing on the wrong side of defence , now hes playing on his favourd side you see the best of him , simples really.

clark pulled em all back saturday..we spent the last 15 minutes panicking against 10 men..twice they had efforts on goal and clark was behind smithies, its so bloody obvious its beginning to hurt...brum could have got the draw and it would have been our own fault.. last ditch defending is sh-t and its not a tactic to employ as regulary and we do with clarke in there..Watford is forgotten is it???
