Easy

Croatia's run in the 1998 World Cup. We went one nil up in the semi final's against the hosts, France. Davor Suker's 5th goal of the competition. About 2 minutes later Thuram scored his first ever international goal against us from the edge of the box with his weaker foot, after our captain and AC Milan's long servant, Zvono Boban, made a mistake at the edge of our box whilst in possession.
Incredibly Thuram scored later on once again, to register his second goal for France in the same match. He has well over 100 caps for France and his only two goals for them came in the Semi's against us

We went on to beat Holland in the third place playoff, a match in which Suker scored again to seal the Golden Boot award. France went on to thump an out of sorts Brazil, 3-0. Oh what could have been

It was an amazing achievement for a country whose population is just over 4million. It was a golden era.

Holland Vs Argentina! .... Bergkamp! STAT

One of the best atmospheres I've experienced was the Euro96 semi v Germany right up until they won on pens and we had a sad walk back down Wembley Way in the rain. Whenever I see highlights of that match I still expect Gazza to somehow reach that cross from Anderton that would have got us through to the final.

Worst post match atmosphere was England v Tunisia in Marseilles in '98. How someone wasn't killed that day I do not know. Managed to get away with just a badly dented car and I had the wife and kids with me!

Probably not gonna be too popular with this one but Liverpool beating Milan after coming back from 3-0 down. That was special and like a fairytale.

Two non-international matches I've enjoyed was goons v Barca when S Cumball gave them the lead and then Lehmann got himself sent off

and Terry slipping on his backside

being in the pub during world cup 2002 Ireland vs Germany were all nearly in tears then all off a sudden in the 93rd minute long ball from Steve Finnan Niall Quinn gets the flick and Robbie Keane bangs it in past Oliver Kahn and the roof nearly lifs off the pub.
What a day that was.
