boy...if either you or city get him...and he can bring that form with him....thats sum player you'll have....
Not worried about the money as we weren't one of the big spenders in Summer and half his transfer fee would be covered anyway as we'd sell either Balotelli, Dzeko or Tevez to make space in the squad for him.
inky...surely not tevez thou....or do you feel another strop is always just round the corner.....
Will be Interesting to see who eventually gets him as his departure from Atletico is inevitable.
If Chelsea were to offer them Torres I think they will get him. Not sure on their stance concerning him.
Wont happen, club have assured Torres that he's main man for at least the season and Torres wants to stay.
If anyone is likely to go in January It will be Sturridge; contract issues(last 6 months of contract), not playing in his favored/desired position and Di Matteo clearly doesn't rate him.
Doubt Athletico would want Sturridge, so I think City will get him.
Not saying we will offer Sturridge + money for Falcao but I do think we will sell him outright in January to get a bit of money.
Not sure which club we will sell him to though(maybe Liverpool)
MF your forgetting that at the begginning of summer the club said how we may have 'two world class strikers' on our books. It was also reportedly part of AVB's project to have Torres and Falcao as our two main striker for the club and Robbie is just essentially carrying out the project that was meant for Avb
Tbh the papers haven't really said anything we don't know. There's only a few clubs that would fork out the necessary money and out of those clubs, only us and maybe you would need a striker like falcao anyway
I just hope that he is willing to spend a full season away from the CL again if we dont get through the group.Because City have an uphill task to get through the group.
I think the player who will go will be Dzeko but it should be Mario. He is too frustrating for me.
It's unrealistic. No chance Torres is going to sit around being second fiddle again.
I think we will sign a striker to replace Sturridge but It wont be high profile/household name.
Unless the club are planning to find a way to play Falcao and Torres together, in that case we will go all out for him.
Anyway I can't see Atletico selling Falcao mid-season, summer/end of the season he'll be gone I reckon.
The comment about Dzeko isnt if we get Falcao its in January imo.
If he goes in January guts telling me, It will be City or PSG maybe Madrid(If he they sell Higuain).
Chelseamf if the release clause is true Madrid wont have a say on if he stays it will be up to him
Should have said I can't see him leaving mid-season as I don't think clubs will meet his buyout clause fee.
Then again...he is the hottest property around don't think any club with the money would be able to resist until the end of the season.
We will see.
RM are guaranteed CL football every year because La Liga is so uncompetitive so I can see it being a shoot-out between City and Chelsea if he's available in January if the Premier League is still as tight as it is at the moment.
Bet he goes to barca to replace villa, not too long ago he wasn't keen on going to England!
Can't see Chelsea or city getting him.
One of the Spanish big two in my opinion.
Maybe stayin in Spain is what he wants if all 4 come in for him but if its jus City and Chelsea who get bids accepted in January i cant see him turning it down.
Also I thought Neymar was Villa replacement.
Did say that he'd like to play in the Premier League someday
Falcao may or may not be the best striker in the world right now; but if he is, it is not by very much.
Yes he is a particular rich vein of form right now, but we all may just as easily talking the same way about Aguero or Torres next season.
Furthermore he tore his ACL early in his career.
Ligaments don't heal, hence Falcao might be one bad tackle away from a serious or career ending injury.
£45m is a lot of money to pay out for such a risk, hence why Athletico had no real competitors for his signature when they paid a reported €47m.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Falcao at City, but also dread at the thought of losing him for best part of two seasons and City suffering because of it x
X
I didnt know anything about the injuries so it make sense to me now. I have been thinking Bobby is an idiot not going for him but that does change it alot. Still worth the risk tho imo.
