but lewis beat holyfield twice, no matter what the scorecard said the first time
maybe on overall career holyfield would be ahead of lewis, but as a pure heavyweight then not for me, evander is the greatest cruiserweight of all time but IMO lewis was the superior heavyweight
Lennox Lewis beat a Prime Vitali Klitschko, much better than anything on Holyfield's record.
Plus Holy did a lot of drugs, something I'm totally against.
Berbick beat Ali once no matter what that scorecard said...
Holy had lost twice to Bowe (3rd fight by ko)and to Moorer.
It wasn't prime Holy..
Prime Vitali much better than anything.....do me a favor...
The day Vitali ranks higher than Tyson..I'll turn it in..
Comebacking Mike who slapped aside both wbc and wba champs and had only lost once...beats a European slob who's beaten nothing but stiffs anyday..
A post prison Tyson, plus I take Vitali over Tyson.
Tyson was a bully, you bully him and and you turn him into a coward.
Look at the fear in him in the 2nd Holyfield clash.
Watch the stare down, Tyson looking everywhere but at Holy, and Holyfield just stares straight through him.
Bruno & Seldon
You are a waste of time arguing with....Tyson was a great heavy..
No offence but Floyd is a coward according to you also...
So it's pointless reasoning with you Mate..
Best if you move on..
By the way Lewis struggled with Bruno...
Watch the 2nd fight, the stare down, fear is all over Tyson's face.
Just like when he was a kid and used to hide in the walls to stop getting beating up.
Foreman, old man.
Alex Stewart
Lewis still knocked out Bruno.
And Bowe got owned twice by Golota, and we all know what Lewis did to Golota.
Moorer was a headcase, who had major self-belief issues.
You twist facts to suit your opinion......
Being so dismissive of Floyd/Tyson types and anyone arguing with you.. tends to get you chucked off sites like these....
No doubt your days will be numbered on here unless you try to be more levelheaded and come up with more reasoned opinions...
Holyfield beat Holmes as well ...before Holmes beat Mercer!!
Much easier than Lewis did!!...
Holmes another old man, 3/4 years after Tyson destroyed him.
And lets not forget Rickick beat Holy twice, and Bowe was scared to fight Lennox.
Think we know who Bowe ranks higher.
Vitali unbeaten when Lewis fought him???...
Holmes was an old man...who didn't struggle with Mercer unlike other guys I could mention....
Buster Douglas shut out Oliver mccall I seem to recall .....before Holy wiped him out!!
Keep trying..
Vitali had to retire because of an injury, in a fight he was dominating.
McCall landed a hail mary punch, it heavyweight boxing, it happens, Lewis put the record straight in the rematch and made McCall cry.
Lennox Lewis beat everyone who he fought, Everyone, never ducked anyone, wanted to fight the best, and the likes of Tyson, binned there belts rather than take the test.
Lewis is a top 3 ATG heavyweight, up there with Ali and Louis, Holyfield doesn't make my top 10.
Lewis lost to a trial horse...........and Rahman wasn't much better..
Top 3 ATG........ WTF??
I'm debating with a madman....
give me a list which has Lewis top 3!!
Give it up kid..
wouldnt have lewis in top 3 ATG heavyweights, maybe, maybe just in top 10
top 3 for me would be
louis
ali
dempsey
Louis above Ali????
Another madman....
Frazier, Foreman, Liston....
Please tell me who Louis beat as good as them...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jV5AMRL5-Hc
George Foreman would say so.
its hardly a massively controversial statement, many boxing experts rate joe louis as the greatest heavyweight of all time
One person is rebuttal......To all the hall of fame lists.....such as ESPN...Boxing illustrated.....The Ring etc..
Come on............
You didn't answer my question...raver..
he fought everyone who was around at the time, he cant help when he was born, louis is the greatest pucher the sport has seen
Foreman punched himself out.
Fraizer I, He lost
Frazier II, cheated just held all the time, why the ref didn't stop that I don't know.
Frazier III Joe was meant to be shot, but he still made Ali want to quite, but Futch pulled his man out first.
Liston I, good win
Liston II took a dive
Ali had greater longevity and beat better opponents..
Nobody on Louis record stands out apart from Walcott who was robbed and then got caught when winning the second fight late on...
Also got beat off schmelling.
Frazier..Foreman rank higher than anything Louis beat and all were in their primes..........
Louis 25 defences reigned for close to 12 years.
Took a dive in your opinion.....
Foreman punched himself out because Ali soaked up all his punches and moved in later on...unlike anybody else who fell short...
Stop dismissing greeat fighters!!
Joe Louis was great no doubts...but his record can't compare with the greatest..
