If this story is true then Cheng has to go!
It's not true and stop calling him Cheng
It's simple, internal enquiry, check the guys e-mails.
if he agrees he met him this is going to be one word against another...typical.. as we always come out of that looking good...

The guy is a self-confessed liar. I'm not even worrying about it. The truth is clear.

.............
I assume that you'll expect to be seeing Chang suing the author for libel then & the offending piece taken off the web with an immediate legal action, in light of such blatant lies being told?
Blindly defending? haha
----------------------------------------
Probably. Although from what I have read, even if the quotes the guy has from Chang, they are not the same as what he accuses Chang of. We'll soon find out.
I can't believe that his story has got so much publicity.
This is what happens when you get breaks during the football season.
Someone with any knowledge of law may be able to help here but...
I thought libel was corporation based,
This would be defamation of character, and then I believe you can only claim for loss, or future loss of earnings?
Seeing as jen chang hasn't lost his job, and if this is a hoax it won't impact on his future, I doubt there's much that can be done from a legal standpoint.
Afterall if that wasn't the case people could sue one another for online remakrs all the time.

It's all a bit bizarre. Apparently 'Duncan' is now in possession of CCTV images and a video from the restaurant which show him meeting Chang.
What will be Liverpool's next move?
^ why did you delete my post?
Who's paying duncan's legal fees?
Duncan Oldham probably from the cash he stole from Liverpool fans.
This is one of the most funny things.
How can someone be threatened and called on the phone several times and suddenly someone else calls and tell him he should forget everything? .. Just like that??
Funny story

I would rather we didn't speculate on peoples real names,

Speculation?
They even say where he lives.
Yeah unfortunately on this site it is not unheard of for people to make flippant comments about paying a visit to "insert real name here". So when we have articles which have content containing "real name allegedly Mr X Y". We do try to avoid it. Though as johnsonsbaby points out, a few newspapers are comfortable 'outing' people.
I think the saddest thing about this whole episode is that a 35 year old man has invented a character that he pretends to be.

Come on boys, think about it. A grown man with various alter egos...its scousers trousers...
Dr Phil's gone a bit quiet too.

He's posted an article the Everton board about it. Him and the other couple of Everton fans are discussing it now. I think he referred to it as a sting operation.
