Frontier market investment bank Exotix estimates that GFH is losing cash at a rate of $9 million a quarter.

"We remain wary of GFH's ability to carry on as a going concern given its continued inability to produce cash from its core operations," Exotix said in a note

LUST should continue to question this proposed purchaser. This is a Portsmouth or a Southampton fiasco awaiting to happen, but we are unlikely to be lucky enough to get someone in like Southampton did (who unfortunately died but left a legacy)

It is clear top me that GFH are solely looking for a quick buck turnaround to save their larger business, and that is a recipe for disaster. And while they stay in the game with exclusivity, they prevent anyone else from coming in.

For the long-term good of our club, I have a feeling that GFH should disappear from our radar

If they are in trouble I think it will take more than Leeds to save them

This is Reuters, exile, not LUST.

"In the meantime, GFH shares have tumbled from a high of $12.79 in June 2008 to just 13 cents now."

GFH is using LUFC as a quick buck maker to keep afloat. Probability is they (and we) fold. As a second administration in a few years, we can expect to be deducted a further 10 points, relegated, and depending on the circumstances of whatever strings they try to pull, suffer the same fate as either Portsmouth or Luton.

LUST have a role to play here.

yes this is Reuters second, most recent piece on GFH / LUFC, first article was back in June iirc

Nope, not a Wum, exiledindublin... not an intentional one, anyway. Born and bred in Leeds and supporter all my life. Just saw the article today, thought it would be of interest.

Completely agree with Chorley's post...

Perhaps most frustrating thing from the drawn out saga is that no-one else is getting a chance to properly size up the business. I suspect GFH now know the business opportunity that LUFC presents (I mean the DD must be complete?!), and being in a weak position themselves, are happy to hold off any other potential suitors, until they decide whether to 'gamble' (a gamble that only really pays off if we hit promotion in next year or two.

LUST's only role is in questioning so they can reassure the fans. Anyone who expects they can deliver more probably believes in fairies at the bottom of the garden too

LUST brought specific bidders to the table on the basis that Bates told them to put their money where their mouths are, so they did. It's like a bet meme, you like them, don't you?

Those real bidders have clearly walked away, and GFH have seized an opportunity because they see something.

Why did the real businessmen walk away?

Why has it led to these chancers staying at the table?

Hope so Tommy, I did think that GFH were acting on behalf, but then it seemed they were acting for themselves, all a bit mixed up isn't it.
