I'm sorry to say it was not just one fan, there was some other fans behind him. And there was the DJ chant.

Fair enough! Should have watched it before commenting instead of just reading the articles.

15 -20 max and the DJ chant is no worse than the Istanbul chant. DJ didn't lose his life or his wife or his father!

The only one who matters is the one who hit someone. Take him away and none of those others would have done what you listed.

hopefully someone will get hold of him and put him out his misery

I thought most of the other fans were celebrating the goal, jail the moron though

As has been pointed out - this guy's supposed to have been banned from attending any football matches already....he's been named already. All they need to know is HOW did he get into the ground....?

End of.

There is no proof that he is even a Leeds fan, in all likelihood he could simply be a hooligan who joined with an away crowd, which happens all the time. As a Leeds fan I found the whole incident disgraceful, and as much as I support Leeds, there are no excuses for supporters like that, if he is a real Leeds fan. All I can say is he must never set foot in a ground again and people like that should never be welcome at Leeds game again. Just an utter disgrace

here we are..he is not a proper football fan and possibly isnt even a le-ds fan..

next he will be a "suicide fan" employed by another club to give le-ds a bad name..

you wont need policing you will need the UN and the CIA at away games...

Bremnersghost, there is plenty of proof he is a Leeds fan, including his own admission after he broke his banning order last year.

its says "he is not a very good thug"... tonight was proof of his ability to "move effortlessly and anonymously" through crowds to perform his dastardly deeds and make off "into the night" unseen and without trace!!!!!!!
c-nt might as well have handed himself in at Armley .....

Guys - sorry it was not just one fan. It was first the 5 or 6 dancing behind Kirkland's goal, then we had the 5 to 10 ripping seats out then there's the 50 or so who allowed the pillock up and away from the scene.

Then you have Warnock with his glib comment about Kirkland "going down like a ton of bricks" and TELLING his players to go over to the away end when disdain should have been displayed. These actions made his previously good statements seem hollow.

I normally defend Leeds fans more than most on the Donny board, partly because I'm married to a Leeds fan but mainly because I haven't got a problem with any football fans.

But this failing of fans and club officials to take ownership of the problem has to stop.

Sort it out Leeds. You have done a lot in the past, but trouble in football is sneaking back and we've all got to stop it.

Oh my god. You're right. What were we thinking?!

I call on the FA to make it mandatory for supporters to chant about the Dave Jones case as nobody was killed. Irrespective of the fact that the whole saga will have ripped the heart out of his family and probably had Mr Jones contemplating suicide, the FA must act now! How can an innocent man be left to walk our streets. We must alert the church elders and hound him with pitchforks until he understands exactly what he didn't do....

One thing last nights incident has proven is that a lot of Leeds United supporters are a little bit thick.

All you town fans wading in have got VERY short memories, last season? Playoffs? Mkdons? Alan smith? And that was more than one of you assaulting him.

We all have idiots including town the trouble is Leeds have a bigger away following hence more idiots!

posted on 20/10/12

I don't think the Alan Smith incident is even comparable. Smith himself played it down and the lack of column inches regarding it speaks volumes. Certainly regrettable but anything like the Kirkland one? No, not even close.

All you Leeds fans trying to deflect the issue....try attending Elland Rd as an away fan. You have had a huge problem for years and its not a minority, believe me.

Oh you wonderful Huddersfield fans.It must be so fantastic to have no hooligans. In fact every other club must have no hooligans, even our national teams fans are a credit to the world of football. This idiot has been condemned by Leeds fans, and should get his just rewards for what he did.But don't all the other fantastic well behaved fans of other clubs like to point the finger, whilst ignoring their own idiots. They must think that when there is trouble at other grounds,it must be Leeds fans that are there.I don't know where some of these fans that are having a dig at every other Leeds fans have been for the past 40 .Have they not seen what has been going on,or is it the perfect excuse to have a go at all Leeds fans because they don't have the mental capacity(just like this moron)to know what proper football fans are.

posted on 20/10/12

The reason it was played down was because the media don't really give a care about town however they're always looking for an excuse to have a go at Leeds, the trouble is we make it easy for them with halfwits like him. Smith probably didn't go down holding his face after a push, however I have friends who are town fans and they said they saw him punched twice, once in the face and kicked two, how is that any different? Assault is assault surely?

And before you start I'm by no means condoning what happened, I was ashamed to be a Leeds fan last night

posted on 20/10/12

I wasn't ashamed to be a Leeds fan last night and I never will be. Believe me I hate what happened last night but I won't be made to feel ashamed for something I have nothing to do with.
I don't understand why this always becomes about whole clubs. We are all on the same side here against the guy who hit Kirkland last night as well as the people who punched and kicked Smith in may. Every club has idiots but we shouldn't be tarring the whole of the clubs that they follow

posted on 20/10/12

What about all the damaged seats, one guy?

Did only one guy enter the playing area after Tonges goal?

Was it only one guy doing the vile chants towards the Wednesday manager?

That is one busy guy.

posted on 20/10/12

And I'm not daft enough to think my club doesn't have its idiots. The difference is our idiots really are a minority.

I don't recall our supporters ever distastefully setting fires to chip vans at Bradford, nor tearing seats out of the Parc Des Princes, or terrorising Bournemouth on a bank holiday weekend, or attacking disabled Ipswich fans upon relegation, or singing songs about Munich or filling the Sunday papers every week during the 1980s, or rioting at Birmingham, or setting the pace in the banning order league table, or continually infiltrating the home end when playing away, or patting a guy who just assaulted an opposition player on the back when he returns to the stand with a huge smirk on his ASBO face.....

Still, every club has its idiots I suppose...
