Footballers should be given the right to protect themselves.
Fans shouldn't be on the pitch, and thus players should be free to give anyone on the pitch a good kicking.

You don't mention the 'hands' (and elbow) of your defender! How did the officials miss that? Twice!
Convenient.
Don't make excuses Stoopo, get the thugs out of your club.

Absolutely spot on..The law on protecting yourself and property against burglars is going through Parliament...players should be allowed to tw&t any "fan" who runs on the pitch...
Oh and I'll bet a solid gold pig that several Wendies who were singing filth last night were mortified and indignant when Bothroyd called them thick the other week...
You have to smile...
Yeah brilliant idea. How do you think that might have ended?
I knew Sparty would crawl out from his burrow and pay us a visit.
Not an excuse at all! That guy assaulted Brown on the pitch. No mention from your fans though.
This assault ... so serious it didn't even make it in to the highlights. Must have been pretty gruesome.
Michael Brown suffering assault???
After the potentially career ending injury that thug inflicted on Jacob Butterfield last season I can only say it's a shame that he didn't receive multiple injuries...
Jeez I watched the WHOLE game and I dont even recolect it
If Llera or whoever it was did give him a bit of an elbow or whatever then it couldnt have happened to a nicer toohat, the guys an @r53hole, always has been!!
I see - so it's OK for one of your players to go around elbowing and thumping a player because of his past rivalry with your club. Says it all really.
What about the elbow on Becchio?
No way am I comparing it to the assault on your keeper but this article is titled 'Hands' and your guy Lllera certainly knows how to use his (and his elbows).
Milan - if you didn't see it then you must be blind! It was shown at least 3 times by Sky and the Becchio one at least twice. Maybe you went for a leak at half time?

OK, seen as though you're determined not to address the main issue; what about Brown's kick in the back on O'Grady?
You see challenges like that just about every game.
Brown was giving it out all game and should have been booked well before he was. If he can't take it, don't give it.
