Family matters come way before football.
Bale's mind wouldn't have been on the game anyway.
Disagree.
Chronic, honest question, have u ever had kids?

--------
i refer you to the comment about flying bale to the hospital after the game...
his mind may not have been on playing, which is a different matter completely.
You haven't had children clearly.
I would not have missed my son being born for anything in the world.
Not having a go, but in terms of what is important football means nothing to your family and your child being born.

Most people won't miss their child being born for anything in the world.

Why would he do that ? I didn't have to pay my work back when I had my two children
Are you honestly saying that a job comes before family? I mean his girlfriend is giving birth to his very first child and he wants to be there for that very special moment when his child arrives to this world. His job doesn't mean that if he misses people's lives are at risk, it just means the team is without a valuable member but can carry on.
Footballers are people at the end of the day and despite how much they earn, they have every right like everyone else on this planet.
Yeh Bale not playing was the reason you lost........Just remind me what the score was last time he played against us?

Are you a mid wife? Of course it can.

nah but my mum was one
I'd give him, your making yourself sound like a kid. (No offence)
Bale is a man who is about to become a father, there is NOTHING in the world more important than this.
Daddy Chronic, that's going on assumptions mate. Imagine his missus gave birth and he was playing, he'd be gutted. It just shows he's caring enough to be there for his woman, even if its hours before birth
What's the alternative anyway? We force him to play and pi55 off our best player.. who wouldn't have been at his best because he didn't want to be there.
Unfortunate timing but that's life.

true.
as i said i thought i would be slated for this article. but i just wanted to get it off my chest.
until i have kids of my own then i cant say what he is going through....
that said... no one has picked me up on my point about planning a pregnancy for through the summer..........
seems an obvious thing to me...
I think that Bale being a family man is probably the reason he is still at Spurs instead of pushing for a move to Spain.
I know it is frustrating but we are more than a 1 man team and could have won the game today without him.

indeed.
the club were never going to go against the star man..
i just hope Bale comes back firing. unfortunately after a new baby keeping him up all night, he will probably be more tired than anything else
Ridiculous statement and completely selfish from your pov. What if his girlfriend had complications with her labour? She would need bale there more then spurs do.
No class at all

So your reason for this ridiculous post is what ?
Because you feel some sense of outrage because he had a day off to potentially witness the birth of his child.
And you call me stupid
