Deluded if you think he's worth £20 million.

posted on 21/7/11

hes worth more than that to the club, we can value him at what we want as we dont want nor need to sell him, we always point in the direction of £24 million for lescott when selling players, jags is twice the player he is.

posted on 21/7/11

How long has Jags got left on his contract though?

posted on 21/7/11

Jones is 19... Jagielkas 28.

And to be honest I don't think either of them are worth £15,000,000 nevermind the figures mentioned

Just because Liverpool and United will pay over the top prices for average British players, doesn't mean Wenger should.

All very subjective I guess. Apparently Everton want 20 million for him, he's good, but I don't rate him at anywhere near that figue, not in a million years.

Everton know how to get a good deal for their players and fair play to them. However whilst Moyes is allegedly standing firm on Arsenal's supposed "offer", one truth is inescapable, Moyes will have no additional transfer funds that aremuch needed unless someone is sold.

Well, if you think Everton are a financially stable club, then good for you

Jones is much better, 16m was a bargain for a player like him. I wouldn't even pay £8m for Jagielka never mind 20.

he signed a 4 year extension recently.

posted on 21/7/11

and he alrwad had like 3 years on that contract all our top players have atleast 5 years remaining on their deals other than fellaini who has 2

The problem with barca is not that they have offered too little for Cesc Fabregas but the fact that they seem unable to understand the fact that we don't have to sell him.

If all the Arsenal players start talking to the press about Jagielka's suffering and how he deserves to be allowed to leave then we'd be hypocrites as it stands we're probably just testing the water of Everton's finances.

Alvin D'Lottery (U6117) jagielka is 27 and coming into his prime, id rather spend big money on a player in his prime than a hopeful teenager?

posted on 21/7/11

Moistthighs (U3249) the funds issue is actually not true, we had a bid of 9 million rejected for nzogbia, just because the press so its so doesnt mean it is we have a small amount to spend this summer which has been kept quiet.

17th august 1982. That's 28 nearly 29 by my calculations?????

To be honest, I don't know why your concerned by it anyway dreamcatcher. If your club really thinks he's worth that much, stick to your guns like Bolton have with Cahill and we'll leave you alone

Arsenal are a respectable club and if your valuation is never going to meet ours, you can keep your player while we look elsewhere! I'd much rather Samba for £12,000,000 then Jag for anywhere over 12.

28 or not, with 4 years left on his contract, forced himself into the English set up, can play right back or defensive midfield also. He signed a new contract in March so how does Wenger think his valuation has gone down by £2 million. Jags has always been a better defender than Lescott , Lescott only had a higher profile because he kept scoring goals. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks he's worth anyway, it is only Moyes's valuation that matters. If Wenger wants him he'll have to pay through the nose to get him, irrespective of what he, we or you think he's worth.

Out of curiousity how highly do you Everton fans rate Fellaini? I quite like him.

posted on 21/7/11

Does Fabregas have a buyout clause in his contract?

dreamcatcher (U9196)
Wenger would rather go without than spend decent money on good players, the guy has lost it.

And Samba is bobbins. Not fit to lace Jags boots

"so how does Wenger think his valuation has gone down by £2 million."

He probably thinks that your financial state has got more desperate or there's add ons/player swaps involved. Or most likely the £10m is just a figure plucked out of the air by a journalist. Give it a week and Everton will tell us no one has bid for Jagielka at all and we'll buy some French bloke a day later.

That's how Arsenal's transfers work.

JohnJensensGoal (U6334) fella is probably the best player we have in the squad and could probably play for any side in the world, some fans are not so keen on him though, but he is sheer class, we need to get him signed up on a long deal too otherwise we risk doing a nasri and losing him for nothing.

no, jagielka is 28 and will be 29 in a month. his value will decrease as he gets older, and he has no resale value.

and also, everton have tried for players in the past few years but couldn't close the deal. did you write similar articles about how stupid moyes was for not offering enough money?

and finally, we are within our rights to offer what we want and you are within your rights to reject it. no need to start crying like a baby

We rate Felli really highly. if the lad could stay fit and sort his silly yellow and red cards out he'd be brilliant. Because he's lanky and got stupid hair people don;t realise what a good footballer he actually is. In a way thoug we wouldn;t really miss him because the last few years he's only played for about 3 months worth of games each season.

No chance we could have him for £5 and a bag of peanuts then?
