Dembele + International Football

What about all the genuine England fans, and there are 100's of thousands that are members.

================

And i'm one of them. And i find it a bit traitorous to turn against your own country. I know its my fault for posting on this article, when i could have ignored it, but genuinely find this type of thing disrespectful, and personal.

I know we're peed off because Dembele is now injured but this injury could have happened in training. What should we do, ban players training?

With no Internationals getting in the way the season could be shortened. You then play the qualifiers, then its beach time.

fair enough if you feel like this...

but it is rare i come across a football fan these days who is bothered.

i personally couldnt care less about international football.

spurs winning a penalty would bring me more joy than england, or any other international team winning the world cup. i am simply not bothered at all.

the problem is that even on the radio you have massive england fans on talk shows, and then as soon as the prem is back they all say "thank god the prem is back " !!!!

Chronic I haven't got any time for internationals anymore. Do not interest me.

Chronic,

Yes, i miss club football too. But i'm very proud of where i come from, and love it when my country compete.

Maybe i'm in the minority on this as well, but cant help it.

--------

absolute rubbish. this is the worst argument v any person who doesnt care about england national team.

you either love the team or you dont. spurs dont win trophies (very often).. but i still love them

success has nothing to do with anything.

I know alot of Oxford United fans and they are far more nationalistic than I could ever be. I suppose its an opportunity for them to potentially see some half decent football. Although most qualifiers are against teams who wouldn't survive 1 season in the Prem. Anybody who thinks that International football is a step up (Henry Winter is an example) are deluded.

For the majority, we don't even have to. As soon as a major tournament rolls along, out come the England flags etc.

-------

how do you know that those who put out the flag are not the passionate supporters all year round.

i dont know anyone who claims to not be bothered about international football, and then suddenly pulls out the flags and england shirts when a tournament comes around.

maybe that happens up north?

RRP is gone but his legacy remains. W.A.I.F.. warrior against international football.

the sooner it is knocked on the head, the better for all concerned

Have a look through articles during the internationals, I'm sure you'll see comments like "Who cares about England, their shiet anyways"

that just means they are a poor fan.

or a glory hunter.

if anyone here is a glory hunter then england should be your worst team of choice.

Sadly the excitement of watching England play has been lost over the years I can't quite put my finger on why though.
