I think he is better off fight Maidana. Matthysse has fought mainly in Argentina and defeats to Alexander and Judah clearly shows but then again Maidana has had defeats to Khan and Alexander. Brandon Rios V Garcia would be a fight that i'd pay Boxnation or Primetime to watch.
It just show's there is a wealth of talent at 140 and people keep telling Khan to move up when the talent pool is as good if not better than 147 especially when you exclude FMJ and Manny.

Clearly you have not seen Matthysse box. He fought quite a few of his bouts state side and he beat Judah and Alexander IMO and in most people's opinion.

Great display of boxing and power against a very tough and avoided fighter.
Rios will also lose to Matthysse if he wants it.

One possible option is Argentine bomber Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30KOs), who captured the WBC's interim-title last month with a ten round TKO of Ajose Olusegun. Matthysse believes he earned a crack at Garcia, but the unified champion is not that impressed with him.
"It would be a good fight, but how can you be one of the best when you have no titles? He has two losses. I take nothing away from him. He's a good fighter, but he's not like no world-class superstar or nothing. He's just a regular tough guy to me, I've seen them before," Garcia said.

30KO's out of 32 is very impressive and not really a regular tough guy
Not sure who else is out there for him, he wont go back to Khan, JMM is to fight Manny, Bradley has gone up so it just leaves Maidana, Judah and Rios. Peterson is still down as IBF champion for some reason and his ban is due to finish soon. He was supposed to fight Judah but Judah turned it down.
Garcia would rough him up and eventually prove too hard a hitter for him. I don't for one minute think that he is the better boxer but I do think he is the better figher.
Garcia will not duck this fight.

Beat up an old shot featherweight in Morales.
He was getting dominated by Khan till he landed the left hook.
Theophane dropped an SD against him, that is the level of Danny.
Matthyse has been in with much better quality and has proven his boxing skill.
He hits harder and has a better chin.
Lets hope this fight happens but I very much doubt it.
