I avoid the sweating anyway admin so won't cause you no trouble. Blocking sc.um does seem a bit pointless though if you can just stick a . In it.

Anyway back on topic who's off down the might molineux in the morning to watch the sako demolish charlton?

For any fans of those different clubs out there this is sako h

The swear filter is as much about those that choose to avoid it, so they cant complain if their post gets deleted when someone with a certain disposition complaints.

Hi Mike! You were always the voice of reason over at 12 yards, glad to see you here.

Did somebody mention Mod Scam (sp)?

A few of us went to that game in 1981, a game that Wolves should have won in extra time as Spurs were on their last legs at 90mins. It always rankled that we were first out the hat - yet had to travel to Yorkshire, but the replay was a few yards from WHL. We also missed Andy Gray due to his suspension kicking in.

Never seen Wolves beat Spurs (around seven defeats) -unless you count the 1-0 (Doyler) at your place a few years ago via a dodgy internet stream. Lost ten pounds in sweat that day.

Welcome, Mike.

Cant complain when a blatent dive by kenny Hibbet got you a last minute penalty to keep you in it, at least he was honest enough to admit he dived

Not sure what it was like at your end of the ground but you can see why hillsbrough happened... lot of Tottenham fans say that it was close to going wrong that day and should of been a warning to the club and police

Correct on both scores.

Kenny's dive was so ridiculous that it double bluffed the ref (wasn't it Clive Thomas?).

The warning signs were there for everybody to see that day. Have since seen it on YouTube, but didn't appreciate the severity of what was happening at the time.

i think some of it is the design of the stadium and hoe they got people inot the ground, Tottennham fans were getting crushed at one side while the other side had empty terraces

I wasn't behind the goal that day. As a kid - and because of the frequent violence in those days - the old man would make sure we got seats for most games.

Clive Thomas. theres a name from the past

yes did seem unfair on you lot to come to london for the replay but for us to take over Hignbury was a fantastic night

Having said that, sitting wasn't much safer. It was a miracle that there wasn't numerous fires before the Bradford disaster. We sat in a wooden stand with people smoking for ten years or more at Molineux, as we did at numerous other grounds.

posted on 27/10/12

I know its crazy when you look back now at places used to be able to smoke.. Planes was the worst i can think of

Bradford was a dreadful event to watch

have you seen any of the chat the last couple of days over safer standing experiements going on

sounds interesting and much better than people standing in seated areas as they do now

Yeah, we've had those debates elsewhere. Terracing isn't a problem in and of itself - we could look to Germany as evidence of that. Can't see it happening, though.

I was just a kid and had a ticket for the Wolves Spurs semi final in 1981. I queued for hours, and then was forced to go to a family wedding instead. (My curse worked & they are now divorced btw)

Yes it was an outrageous last minute dive from Kenny Hibbitt...the only time i've condoned our own player diving.

I went to the replay at 'neutral' Highbury. Spurs were awesome, & we were not. We knew it was not going to be our night when it was announced Andy Gray was out injured and the crowd was unsurprisingly 80% Spurs fans.

Amazing atmosphere, but not for us

posted on 27/10/12

The arguments against terracing are ridiculous. I think some people assume 21st Century terraces would be 19th Century designs built to capture a hundred years of deriliction, & filled with fans so out of control they have to be caged.

Bradford was horrendous, but it would be just as ridiculous to ban seat stands because of it.

Or 'buildings' , cause some buildings were death traps.

Sorry guys a bit delayed but cheers herb and Simon. Gutted about the game today. Why do we always come out sh..t in the second half

posted on 27/10/12

Mike, I just don't think the team are fit. Thy have no stamina in my view.

posted on 27/10/12

Certainly looks like that Shane. Second half it all just goes to pieces

The two africans cant cope with three games in a week. But we have nobody we can bring in to be able to rest them
