Don't know how far he can go, but he certainly has an eye for a player and seems to get the best out of them.
well he needs to improve his behavour on the sidelines if he is to make it
The only way i can see Lennon leaving as Celtic manager is if he feels like he can't take the club any further or if he is taking us backwards.I can see him still being here for a good few years,i'm excited with what the future holds for our club.
Wit seriously you think Lennon couldn't manage an EPL team when the likes of Alex McLeish can?(and worse than him).
I think he definitely has the talent to do it but can see him being Celtic manager for next 5 years min. He's got best of players Who were prev scapegoats, Sammy and Brown and brung in some fantastic players at a fraction of what St Martin had. And the sell on potential of our first 11 is amazing
well he needs to improve his behavour on the sidelines if he is to make it
He has and he has matured as a manager as well. Some of the pressure and crap he has been thru since taking the Celtic job has been unreal, the fact he has come thru it a better manager is a credit to him.
Lenny assembled the background staff, another success of his
Lenny is very young for a manager so hopefully he keeps improving and stays with us.
A lot of managers move and then it goes pearshaped, Owen Coyle comes to mind.
I can't imagine anyone who cares for Celtic as much as Lenny, and hopefully he has a long and successful career with the bhoys.
In all seriousness, Lennon will go at any point in the next 3 years that he does not achieve at least 2 of the following:
Win the SPL
Qualify for CL group
Win at least 1 domestic cup.
And and any season without winning the SPL, he will go.
Still, with zero domestic competition, sort of protects his job for a while - and TBH, it was about time you managed to hold on to a manager for more than the traditional 3 seasons max.
whats wrong with his behavior? Hes settled down now. And he has matured plenty after his first year. Where tbh, a lot of the things he did was exaggerated to the extreme
The only thing i can see slowing him down is that he isnt going to have the scouting system that we have here. But i dont see him leaving Celtic for a good few years. Unless, like Tim said, he feels he has gone as far as he can possibly take us.
Hes an extremely bright young manager. This is his first taste of the Champions League and so far he is holding his own.
I think he will be in the Premier League later on in his career. a top 4 club or so? I dont know. But definitely able to manage in the Prem.
dc, you think Lennon wont win the SPL in one of the next 3 seasons?
And his achievements with Celtic amount to what exactly?
When he has actually won something meaningful outside of Scotland then maybe he can be considered to be the next best thing since sliced bread.
Scottish football and the SPL aren't exactly regarded as a region of any quality on the planet these days in case it has escaped your attention sunshine.
Come back and talk to the big boys when Lennon and his team leave a heavier footprint in the sand.
cb - I never said that, but if he does not, i think he will be fired.

take it auld wattie was pash
Oh dear here comes the bitter Pacific Paradise to share his limited wisdom
Come back and talk to the big boys when Lennon and his team leave a heavier footprint in the sand.
Come back and talk to the big bhoys when you are in our league,in the meantime just you and your diddy club/manager/Chairman concentrate on the stirling albions and clydes of this world, that's your level now.
ffs they get parped oot the broon sauce cup
To be fair, with that ex Milan coach Bernd whathisname earlier today, on here folk were saying that MON was better than him as he took a team to a European final.
So that would mean that Wattie should get some credit too, surely?
But PP's comments are a bit daft - you can only swim in the fishbowl you find yourself in - large or small. Buut a bare minimum 3 SPL titles + cups or CL group stages are required by Mr Lennon or he will be out IMO.
Cali . This is just pisho

Are you forgetting what happened at last years Scottish Cup Semi and his twitter rantings after the event?
Also what was exaggerated to the extreme?
Even today his approach to Schusters comments lack class, not how Di Matteo would have dealt with the question.
Lennon will be here for many more years, you can bank on it
Even today his approach to Schusters comments lack class,
Lets not start about our manager lacking class, the whisperer has had his moments too,as did auld walter myth.
i put the smiley for a reason btg
You have to admit he has calmed down since his first season in charge. If he has one out burst, so what? Plenty of managers have and will continue to have them.
Why the need to bring Smith or McCoist into the thread? The OP is about Lennon.
I would say that he can go on to succeed wherever he wants to succeed. A top 4 job will only come though if he has success at a 2nd tier English club.
how did it lack class? what was wrong with it?
and why compare Lennon with Di Matteo?

Aye but it's Lennon we are talking about here,he gets the rangers fans why else do you think they all come out whenever an article is made about him
When I say 2nd tier I mean EPL 2nd tier. As shown by MON it's not easy to have success in the EPL in the modern era.
He has turned into a failed coach like Schuster
