What an idiot - At least his 80 yard run celebration came to an end with all the Everton fans laughing at him!
Dont worry. The Rs Stat Nerds will finda way to read something different into "The Independents observations.
I forsee a lengthy exchange here. Expect some input from Get Better. I bet he took a portion of that Bet Fred offer on Sunday too.
We are supposed to be the bitter ones? Shame Radio City refuse to report it properly.on news just mention his comments no balance or actual facts reported.
Still bitter that you didn't win your Cup Final .
Add SSN and TalkSport to the list. I have not read any Papers yet!
Cup final, What was it like for Brendan playing a top of the table team Jan.
Also, can I have your views on Gerrard and his poor review of the game.
Is Brendan brain washing his stars into what a long ball game involves?
He enjoyed playing Man Utd and Man CIty. Thanks for asking.
Not sure where you got your stats from, but Everton played 40 long balls and Liverpool attempted 26, mostly in the second half when we played slightly deeper and tried to counter using the pace of Sterling.
Only 29% of youu passes were forward into the forwards, most were out wide to Baines and Miralles who then lumped balls in the box, more hopeful than anything, hoping that Fellaini and Jelavic would get on to them with their height. Barely aything came down thwe rright hand side. So i would say it was pretty direct, and Stoke-esque. You have an effectvie style but it is a direct style, there's no denying that.
Get it wide to Baines/Miralles, cross in to box Fellani/Jelavic to get on to it. There's no style in that.
Fergie, a legend of the game, also called you a long ball team, doens;t that annoy you too. Oh I forgot, you brownnose Man Utd so you won't have anything said against them.
Fat Jan,
Where have you generated these stats. The Independant use the official Opta stats......
So thanks for wasting so much time typing that useless tripe
We could also use the stats provided by the BBC

Match stats do not exactly support Steven Gerrard's claim
as they show Everton enjoyed more possession than Liverpool (56.2%-43.8%), made more passes (400-314), had greater passing accuracy (78.5%-76.8%) played proportionally fewer long passes (13.8%-14.6%).
Again, these make you look like a bitter red sheight Jan
FatJan: 'most were out wide to Baines and Miralles who then lumped balls in the box, more hopeful than anything, hoping that Fellaini and Jelavic would get on to them with their height.'
The Independent: 'produced twice as many crosses (34 to 17), most of them low, driven balls from the left by Mirallas or Baines.'
I know who I take more seriously.

There's nothing to say in the Indepedent article that they were OPTA stats.

Phil McNulty from the BBC also published match stats which counter Gerrards's claims.
Fatjanmolby this question is based on your continual stupidity. Are you Steven Gerrard or are you from the same family as Steven Gerrard as you both seem to have a low IQ?

Its not a deflection tactic. One of your mates writes an article about Gerrard being a hypocirite and I just remind you that your manager is a hypcrite. Glass houses and and all that.
Gerrard is a hypocrite as he's dived many times and is the club captain, but given that Fergie is a also a hypocrite, Man Utd fans should stay pretty quiet on thsi topic, especially when you have Young, Welbeck, Valencia, Nani and Rooney in the team.
Fatty's you've been to look like a fool, hold your hands and admit defeat,go on be a man.

joely_the_goely, thanks for bringing up the BBC page.
Everton passes - 400. Proportion of long passes - 13.8%. What's 13.8% of 400? It's 55.2, lets say 55.
Liverpool passes - 314 - Proportion of long passes - 14.6%. What's 14.6% of 314? Its 45.8, say 46.
I know I'm stupid, but isn't 55 a higher number than 46? So you played more long balls!
So the BBC and the Liverpool Echo articles say you played long more balls than us.
Long ball, direct, Stoke-esque.
comment by FatJanMolby (U4297)
Considering we had more possession and more passes you would expect more long passes.I bet the stats also show we made more shorter passes more crosses etc than Liverpool.
When a team dominates possession like Everton did then pretty much all the positive stats go in favour of the dominant team.
Please tell me you realised this before you posted the above and made yourself look even more stupid than before
So it's proportion of long balls rather than actual long balls
you really are a doofus.
How many short balls did we plat compared to you,if we played more as the stats suggest then we played more short passes than you.So if that's the case we outplayed you in the short passing game
400-55= 345 short passes
314-46= 268 short passes
We actually totally dominated you on the shortpassing game.Think about it Fatboy think about it
YEAH thanks alot fatboy you have just shown that we are a superior shortball passing team than you stats wise
fat..gonna take your stat and twist it again. 400-55 = 345 passes
314-46 = 268 passes..
on that basis we passed the ball shorter more often than you!
