Any club willing to appoint the likes of Mark Hughes, Brian Kidd and Steve Kean would probably be just as happy with a lump of Brie at the helm. It would certainly have more charisma than any if the afore mentioned names.

Graysons' only been here 5 minutes, it would be a massive smack in the face for Deano if he said he wanted out so soon. There's no way Grayson will go for that job, or any job at the moment..he's getting pretty much what he wants at Town and is still building his team up.

Having said that, it's suprising how many of you are saying let him go...is that 'cos we've just badly lost 2 games ? If we'd won those games and were sitting pretty in 2nd place, rather than 9th, would you still be saying let him go ?

Anyway, he won't go...not yet.

it wont happen on this occasion but itll happen somewhere else..

I said let him go because to me managers are one of the most dispensable assets in the modern game.

If Grayson did go, I don't think Deano would struggle to attract a good boss. We're in a good position in the league, our infrastructure is as good as anyones in this division and we have cash to spend. We don't appear to have much trouble selling the club to potential transfer targets, I can't see managers being any different.

My personal opinion is that if they really want him, and are willing to pay hefty compensation to achieve this, then he would go. Why not? Rovers have possibly the best squad in this division and should realistically be looking to bounce straight back to the top level. In terms of adding to his reputation, he could very well take the job and add two consecutive promotions to his already excellent CV.

And if he does go, I'll say good luck and move on as quickly as that, whilst savouring yet more funds with which to carry on with our own project.

8 million waiting, whilst we have vaughan(sick note), beckford(up and down) and hamill(looks the part-might not be) all on loan.. 2 starting centre backs who look hopeless and a midfield who are inconsistent(to say the least)...
it certainly is king...as long as you spend it wisely and at the right time(or better than that-get it into the club at the right time, not just before the window closes)...

the idea of just letting players and managers go because someone offers just enough or enough compensation does not bode well for any "future" we think we might have.. at some point there has to be a "no"...

we either believe we can play with the "big boys" in this league or we dont.. that goes from the top down at town..

the idea of looking to consolidate before a ball was kicked is the wrong one.. you end up mid table, you dont aim for it..
if you want to be a "contender" then behave like one....

As for Leeds, their fans are dreamers in the main. They talk about signing him and him and him, yet can't keep their best talent out of the clutches of the mighty Norwich City, adding further weight to my above comment. F-ck what Leeds fans want. We're on the right path under the ownership of Dean Hoyle. If Grayson wants to be a part of it, fine. If he doesn't, also fine. I believe in our plan with or without Grayson.

nice to have 8 million quid ...if we dont/cant spend it(and cant is a real possibility) then deano could at least give us a few quid back for the last two loads of sh-te..???
we could also sell hunt and smithies, not replace them either and have a super bank balance... build a team around clarke/gerrard/lee of other biggish lads who just cant cut it in the bigger leagues??? always hoping keiths legs hold out and that clayton can actually put input into more than one game a month...

Hoyle said when interviewed about the Rhodes deal that taking young players, improving them, and then selling for a good fee is "integral" to our long term strategy. Not slightly important, but integral.

Our current team is not a top six side, not in my opinion. So we invest. We sell on again and we invest again. It's not like we're that one key player away from Champions League football. We are new boys in a strong division and we are still finding our feet. Many players will come and go and I dare say a manager or two before we reach the promised land. Surely you realise that?

you are not required to show any loyalty or commitment jacko..
there used to be signing on bonuses that rewarded straight away a player who signed on for longer..those bonuses are now covered in the sale of that "loyal" player by the team purchasing him..

Grayson is an also ran for the Blackburn job at 16:1, well behind favourites Henning Berg, Holloway, Black, Redknapp, Solksjaer, Shearer, Sherwood, Hoddle, Mckinlay, and Flitcroft.
