Personally I would say that are upturn in form is because SoD has finally found his best team which obviously includes cohen. The team has been given a chance to play together and learn about each other's game. The fact that we are in 7th and we've only just found our best team and formation for me says that we are a serious contender for the top two this year.
I'm expecting a good run of results now.
Chris Cohen was sorely missed, and I am delighted that he has signed a long term contract. Just need to get Simon Gillett signed up with a good length contract now.
Vote Cohen.

Before his injury my thought was that if Cohen played well then the whole team did likewise. That's probably an over-simplification but he's showing something similar now.

A lot of people used to say that about McGugan too, now I recon the opposite is true. When McGugan is at his best he's a very selfish player, making runs into the box, shooting from distance etc. I don't think that suits our current team, especially now we have two decent strikers on the pitch. Maybe this is why he's not getting much of a look in at the moment.
As for Cohen, I think his coming back into form has helped our upturn, but there are other factors which have contributed to our recent form, such as the team finally starting to gel, our strikers starting to form partnerships etc. Long may it continue though. Like most people have been saying, Cohen has been superb of late, hopefully he can only get better with more matches under his belt (and NOT playing him at left back!)
Philo, do you really think that SOD has found his best team and do you think it is the team that played against Barnsley (but with Ayala back).
What about Hutchinson when he recovers? What about Dexter? We've had McGugan, Raddi, and Pep at the top of the diamond without any of the three looking to have claimed that particular position.
It is still possible that Lansbury, JJ, or Ward may become first choices.
What about the LB spot is SOD satisfied with Harding?
I think we still have a way to go before this squad is the finished article - which is very good news.
of course there are a few changes still to make but not significant ones. the formation has been decided now. none of this changing to two defensive midfielders or 4-3-3 like we did at the start of the season.
there are question marks over harding but there's nobody to take his place at the minute so he's first choice. ayala might loose his place to ward. the player who plays behind the striker can rotate between raddy, gueds, mcgugan, lansbury and jenas if he stays. but thats no problem as it's a luxury position and they're all class players.
SoD has done his experimentation and now has found a formula that works. small changes to one or two positions in terms of personnel will not make a huge difference to the overall performance.
