The Thing

Watch that anton

The original Fog is quality especially when i watched it as a nipper - Hellraiser used to make me scared aswell. The standard of the horrors now is more about gore and CGI which isnt as good as the tense creepy ones.

However the remake of the Evil Dead looks quality ! <OK>

The Thing, what a film

I rate the Exorcist as a movie, it is perhaps more disturbing than out and out scary but as a movie is is excellent.

The original Fog scared the living jebus out of me when I was younger, that lone bell sounding in the distance...

As did Salem's Lot and the Phantasms with it's silver ball of doom

Not a fan of gore so I don't watch many horrors nowadays.

Blair Witch Project is still the scariest i've seen. Because it seems so real.

Exorcist was excellent considering when it was made. I am a fan of gore aswell mainly for comedy Braindead is quality and i like most Zombie movies

Candyman and hellraiser were good horror films.

The bit at the end of Hostel 2 when the guy gets his boaby cut off gave me nightmares

Has anybody seen sinister yet?

posted on 31/10/12

Not sure it's out and out 'horror', but the original The Omen is still up there for scares for me.

Candyman is horrible man, used to be so scared of that. The bit in the cubicles

Anyone watch American Horror Story? Started back last night, freaky stuff!

Mental film - but not in a bad way.

With monsters and aliens this American Horror Story sounds like it is influenced by HP Lovecraft.

Cool name and brilliant writer of these types of stories http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._P._Lovecraft

I think it has something to do with that doctor who was about to mutilate him. Fook knows.

The 1st series was quality aswell, the wife was a MILF. Got a bit daft as it went on though.

This one is only 6 episodes.

The original zombie movies, directed by George A. Romero were all really good. The second one, think it was Dawn of the Dead was set in a shopping mall and was seen as a satire on mindless consumerism.

Another brilliant movie not mentioned yet was Carrie, from 1976. A pre- disco Travolta had a part getting a
b/job from one of Carrie's tormentors, top film.
