I'm waiting to see Theo sign a new deal on Arsenal.com
All his game last night came through the middle. Really is worth a try to play him there now imo.
I think Wenger has given him more license to roam, he hardly stayed out on the right last night, drifted more into the middle.
I'm sorry but 'ala Van Nistelrooy'?
In what way does he resemble Van Nistelrooy's play whatsoever other than them both being forwards?
I think he is quality but totally different player.
ala Van Nistelrooy in terms of his poaching ability.
Yeah but Van Nistelrooy was never a big runner onto through balls and a placed/chipped finish kind of guy like Theo
Totally agree, on par poachers, but Theo is all around a would-be better striker, if for anything his pace and finishing. A little confidence and the real Theo would unleash.
I still don't think Walcott will ever match Henry or really come anywhere near what he achieved. Henry was a special player, a very bright guy with a big personality. The confidence or perhaps even arrogance coupled with second to none ability to destroy defenders and goalkeepers week in & week out like he did does not come around often.
Theo will be a great player for us if he stays, I've always liked him and never really understood why he get's a hard time from some of our fans. Of course all players have dips in form and take time to develop their game.
Henry was a special player without a doubt and I was lucky enough to see him play in person in his prime which was at an age older than the current Theo. Not saying he can or can not rival Henry but the oppurtunity has got to be there. The flanks are not Theo's forte, an area Henry dominated with grace but who is to say Theo will not come good through the middle.
