Just remember- that lost Dalglish his job.
Our options in the final third aren't good enough after the first team and even then they aren't great.
BR needs to understand the KOP and the power and passion that comes from the crowd when we are going forward, we are far too negative at the moment, there is not enough to get the crowd going.
Well said ARE. Much too defensive. Swansea gave us a footballing lesson tonight on how fast flowing open football should be played. BR take note! Maybe Laudrup can do a bit of cross-collaboration?
What ever TOOR,you play hoofball, and Gerrard is the master, have ittttttttttttttt. Nice one Swansea.

So the team with the second fewest long balls in the league plays hoofball, while the team with the third highest does not?
BR will throw away both cups and Europa, and will concentrate on EPL. No point in playing our second team and then play first team when we are losing.
Most frustrating thing about this now is that I bet Arsenal go on to win it. Fuming if that happens!
Same old problems if you ask me. Not enough forward runs from players and players not making themselves room to receive a pass in the final third.
If I had a pound for each time I watched our front 3 static in their position when our midfielders had the ball 25 yards out, I'd have enough money for FSG to have sanctioned the Dempsey transfer.
Could someone tell the what the current situation with Sahin is?
Sahin was rested as he is still getting to grips with his fitness and the league.

For me Sahin can be just like Xabi Alonso for us but like Xabi Alonso needs to understand that you don't get time on the ball in this league and you need to get stuck in. The problem like you say is he's only on loan and we could give him the time, he'll start playing and before we know it, he's off.

Thanks for the opinions. Interesting. TOOR, your diagnosis of the situation (fitness, adapting) sounds worryingly familiar to what happened to him at Madrid and dragged on the whole season.
Mourinho said that the reason he wanted him in the PL was that it was the perfect place to improve/acquire certain skills/aspects of his game. You'd think lack of fitness is just temporary, but after well over a year without any major problem, maybe the guy just doesn't train hard enough.
Time on the ball? Believe it or not, I saw so little of him at Madrid that I could hardly judge.
Shame if the guy doesn't make it, because I do like his 'slow-foot' playing style. The little I've seen reminds me in some way of Riquelme.
