I like Canelo, he's a good prospect but Mayweather would smash him to bits imo. It's far too early for him.
I think he'll fight Cotto next year.
Kamran who should Floyd face then? Martinez would be good but I'm not sure that fight could have huge interest.
Though it's Mayweather, and coming out of jail some may wonder whether he'll be the same.
Canelo is going to be one of the greats but maybe a little too early to face PBF. He would get cut to ribbons al la Gatti, Marquez.
Another 12-18 months with PBF being older I think Canelo would beat him.
Canelo is not in the FMJ class. This guy could only beat Matthew Hatton on points despite having a weight advantage. He is still young and still more of a prospect but he has no one on his CV to suggest that he will beat FMJ.
As for the FMJ V Martinez fight, it will be huge with both fighters being in the top 3 of the P4P rankings.
Canelo has had over 40 fights, problem with that is, he has never faced any elite fighters, two things could happen he could step up and find his experience against lesser fighters ruins him, or hr steps up and surprises everybody.
Right now he isnt even in the top 6 at his weight.
Mayweather
Cotto
Ortiz
Manny
Marg
Garcia
In no order btw
Gibsy21(formally Mike) (U15513)
Ortiz, is a 147lbs that just got jaw cracked and beat by a 35/1 underdog.
Manny fights 147lbs and is very small at that weight.
Marg has retired
Cotto, dropped a decision to Mayweather, yet to beat a top light-middle, Trout will be a real test for him
Garcia is a 140lbs that is two weights bellow 154lbs and only really has Khan and a shot Morales on his record.
Mayweather, never fought a true 154lbs guy.
You have to say Canelo in top 3/4 at the weight, up there with Lara, Trout, Cotto and Mayweather
From a financial point of view it will make Floyd the most money barring the Pacquiao fight, which he is scared to take.
Alvarez is a very decent boxer, great body puncher, heavy handed, good boxing brain, chin seem a little suspect.
Would be a decent fight, but Floyd really needs to stop ducking and fight Pacquiao, or take on Martinez.
No more excuses.
D4 how do you see the Manny-Marquez fight going?
Bar the ridiculous judging, it's actually been a fine fine trilogy, I look forward to it!
Tough fight for both men, both know each others game well, both will learn from the past fights.
But they both saying they want to make this one decisive and go for the KO, it should be another great fight.
Pacquiao underestimated Marquez last time out, was too calm and calculated, he needs to get the beast back and keep the fight at a high pace.
You can never discount a great fighter like Marquez, who knows Pacquiao game inside out.
Likely to be another close, but if Pacquiao can pull out the KO then it might be his best win ever.
Interesting to see if Marquez comes out more aggressive.

Pacquiao is actually fighter of the decade and is up against Marquez for the Fighter of the Decade belt when the fight in December.
Canelo may be inexperience but will be one of Mayweather's toughest challenge yet, kinda tell you what kind of opposition he has been picking.
Pacquiao was more active yes.. but greatest fighter of the decade with the amount of losses he had, plus taking into account the fact he lost to Marquez twice.. no he doesn't deserve that accolade.
Brilliant fighter though, and I'm one of a few people that give Manny and Mayweather a good chance against previous legends. Too many people overlook our current good fighters against the best in history.

Yes! Fighter of the Decade!
Pacquiao hasn't lost to Marquez.
Kamran.. on paper... but do you seriously feel Manny won all 3 of their fights? first 2 are debatable (though I have Marquez edging the second) but their last fight that was a clear victory for Marquez.
No doubt, but unlike your guy Pacquiao he avenged that loss within a year....
Manny waited a couple years to give Marquez a third fight and didn't do any better.. infact he lost, convincingly
