True Mexican, but he had at least been managing in the same league.
Agree Kagawa.
Di Matteo isn't a great manager. He is only still in a job because they fluked the CL. Roman had to offer him a contract. It's no surprise there are strong rumours of Pep taking over at Chelsea.
better to be lucky than good, as the old saying goes
Di Matteo isn't a great manager
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why couldn't he be though?
Chelsea may have got a lot of fortune in their CL run. But nobody can deny that the team that didn't look at all bothered and interested under AVB, totally bucked their ideas up under Di Matteo.
I think Chelsea will be making a mistake letting him go personally.
Yes they looked more motivated, but it didn't change the fact that they were incredibly fortunate to had won the CL, and he would have been sacked otherwise. I won't be surprised if he gets the sack at some point during the season. Especially if they go out of their group in the CL.
I'm not sold on Ollie yet. I just think the job is too big for him at the moment. We'll have to see I guess nobody can say with any authority who it will be not when.
The when is the most important thing here, for me. Due to their being such a merrygo round of managers at clubs throughout Europe, the ship may have sailed for some of our suitors by the time Fergie calls it a day.
The names on everyone's lips at the moment are Klopp, Pep and Jose. The latter two may end up at City and Chelsea in the near future and the former perhaps at Madrid.
Guardiola wil be next United manager, it's so obvious
He's taken time off to learn english with no set time as to when he's returning (ahem waiting for Fergie to set a date).
He won't go back to Barca, I think he's already said that and he desperately wants to manage in the Prem he said.
Mourinho wont leave Real until he wins the CL with them and that could take any amount of time
Excuse the grammar and spelling, touch screen is lame.
It's not that obvious he'll end up at United. Mancini's situation is looking precarious and they've just appointed Bergistran a senior post at the club. Could end up there.

Guardiola's English is already top notch, first of all.
Secondly....he's apparently let it slip that he's chelsea bound and it doesn't surprise me. Roman has more money than sense.
Guardiola left Barca to challenge himself, he couldve been the most decorated manager ever had he stayed at Barca.
He doesnt strike me as someone who will take over a club just because they have unlimited funds
If Sir Alex retired tomorrow, Jose would buy out his contract the very same hour. He only has two places to really go now. United then Portugal national team in his twilight years. This is only educated guesswork on the basis of his personality, but the thought of settling down and creating his own dynasty at United is something I think he would relish. No doubt about it, the job of replacing Sir Alex is the ultimate job in football to any man with self belief and ambition. It's the reason Pep doesn't inspire me with such confidence. If managing arguably the best team to ever play the game is mentally strenuous to the extent of having to quit then this job may be too big for him. He also strikes me as a man with little Plan B and not particularly shrewd in the transfer market. I think Mourinho is on another level, personally.
The only way we'll get Pep is if Fergie retires in summer. Because I doubt he'll stay away from the game another 12 months or more.
Stretford, did he actually let slip though? I know the Mail were reporting it but there were no quotes, probably just usual media rubbish.
Agree with that Smalling_Jones. I have heard he has a great admiration for Manchester United, so maybe he would come to us. Don't rule out Arsenal, especially if he wants a challenge.
Like I said though, timing is key. If Fergie doesn't want to step down any time soon we'll lose out on these managers to our rivals.
id rather saf stayed for 1 or 2 more years to be honest

I think Mourinho would love the CIty job. A chance to turn City into the undisputed number 1 in England, he can all the money in the world to spend (he loves to spend), win a CL with them for the first time etc.
Why rule out him getting the CHelsea job too? Hes proved at Madrid he can play nice football now. Abramovich surely knows he made a msitake sacking him and he loves Chelsea.

I think it was more that noises from the guardiola camp were suggesting he's london bound and will be Chelsea's next manager.
Make of it what you will. Might be a load of rubbish.
I think Mourinho is more likely at United than Pep to be honest.
I'm really intrigued to see where Mourinho goes. It's well known that he's a massive Chelsea fan, I'm just wondering whether him and Roman will resolve their differences. Both such huge egos so I'm not too sure.
Mourinho did say he'd love to come back to England and that he hopes SAF is still here when he does. That puts City in the mix.
There are also obvious reasons for why he would want to take over at United. One thing Mourinho craves, which he would get here, is major control of the team and transfers.
Whoever Mourinho goes to next, he wants to stay a long time, possibly even until he takes over the Portugal job (which he said he doesnt want until hes old)
I dont think he will get the stability at CHelsea and I think he knows that. Can the same be said of City? Who knows
I tihnk oursevles and CIty will be his most likely destination
Don't rule either out of the PSG job.
Pretty sure both of their wives and them themselves would like the thought of living in gay Paris.
Nah he said he wants his daughter to go university in London and for him and his family to be very close. I suppose Paris isnt much further from London than Manchester so maybe actually
Nah, he won't go to PSG. He's said he wants to go back and live in England for the majority of his career. He loves it here.
Pep only knows one style of football and it's not one that we have been known for.
Mourinho has been a little more adaptable. He has been known as a defensive coach but that's just utter rubbish. If Battering a team, going 2-0 up and then holding on to what you have makes you defensive.... then who cares?
Ole would still be my choice. He's adored by the fans. He would be respected by the players and the board.
To say Pep is one dimensional is harsh, hes only managed one club and as good as the team was, he did an impeccable job
To his credit, the fact he left Barca and says he wants to challenge himself iin the Prem is admirable
Plus, people forget he is still a baby in manager terms
Saying Pep only knows one style is conjecture. Much as it was when people accused Mourinho of only being able to play defensive - something you have rejected.
He worked with what he had and used it to the best of its ability.
Signing Ibra showed that he was open to changing things, as was changing the formation to 343 (although it was a mistake in my opinion), but Ibra didn't want to work for the side so he sold him - signs off ruthlessness which is admirable.
He really knows how to get the best from what he has. The fact he played Villa on the right to get the best out of Messi is another example of great management.
I think people often don't give him enough credit.
I don't think he'd be naive enough to try and make United Barca mkII. He'd obviously want to play a certain way, but I'm certain he would utilise the strengths that United have.
if pep has the right midfield, he could do wonders with untied
