getting excited over a reserve game..

posted on 7/11/12

Gotta say peeps, really excited for the future.
Not cos of the training ground, but because :

- the setup is producing ball players
- nominal amounts of hoofball
- ability rather than the usual English 'big kids first' mentality (Pritchard etc)

Group 6
Team P W L D F A GD PTS
Marseille 4 2 1 1 3 4 -1 7
Olympiacos 4 1 1 2 2 4 -2 5
Arsenal 4 1 2 1 3 3 1 4
Athletic Club 2 1 1 0 5 2 3 3

Now that IS "excited" !!!
Just like the seniors (chip off the old block proud ) .

RRP2 could meet the RDBD, but I don't advocate truancy.

Do you think it's better for players in this team to stay in U-19s rather than be promoted RDBD?

RDBD

Great thread

I will be up for any youth/Nextgen games and a pint and a chat...I just need a few days notice to line things up first (if I can).

In the grand plan, I would like to see them getting loaned out as their ability/readiness allows (in the eyes of the coaching staff) . We need to get the Barca-esque production line up and running so the senior squad always has breadth and depth.

For example, with Luongo (assuming he is still Nextgen viable) , Barca wouldn't have beat us 2-0. But going to Ipswich is a great way for him to progress to be being a senior.

In the coaching staff we (have to) trust.

No sure anyone will learn anything from being at Ipswich being tutored by Mick McCarthy...other than how to lose and get stuck in.

We should chose our loan clubs more carefully...somewhere more progressive

Not the physios then?

Luongo went to Ipswich BEFORE McCarthy appeared.
So tis possible he may be recalled (he has been playing for Spurs recently when there is no loan conflict) .

"Not the physios then?"

God no !!!

They're like Parkinsons' law (the more extensive/sophisticated the physio facilities, the more Spurs players will get injured to occupy them) .

Dec 13.
I intend to be there (events not withstanding) .
I will have to check whether the Pied Bull is actually open (when I walked past for the Wolfsburg game, it looked closed) .

looklike said he was there for the last 20 mins.
Spurcat was there. Enough of the 606 tribe obviously do go.
