smalling wouldn't be in the squad if he isn't capable of starting

.......................

How many minutes game time has he had this season, just out of interest?

how long was wilshere out for before he played 60 mins for arsenal

How many minutes did Rooney get before Fenerbahce in 2004?

Zero.

Check. Mate.

Wilshere played 2 games "behind closed doors".

dont compare the best 18 year old in europe at the time to chris smalling please

posted on 7/11/12

no not really, smalling is a different situation

..............

Yes he is. Powell has actually had game time this season.

SAF is highly unlikely to hand Smalling his first game for six months or so (probably even more) in a CL away tie.

He only resumed training this week. You do know that, yes?

But then SAF has done dafter things in recent years.

Chris Smalling hasn't just stepped off the treatment table.

He's been in training and he has to have his first game sometime right? Why not tonight when he's in the squad against a team we beat with a centre midfielder in defence.

Oh well. This will all be revealed in about half an hour leaving this argument futile.

I know! That's why i'm shutting up till that damn team is announced.

Pretty sure he had a run out in the reserves.

@CheGiaevara: Chris Smalling starts for Manchester United

Yes he does, and it would usually be in the reserves. I am sure he will get a run out tonight if the game is going the right way.

It would be utterly daft to start him, IMO, considering he only returned to training this week..

RVP

If that's true then Smalling must have looked good in training.

Someone best tell Cameras, he has it as rafa.

I thought Sir Alex would prioritise the Villa game.

Good for him. We draw this game and we're through and keep most of our key players fit.

posted on 7/11/12

If you're fit for the bench you're for to start. I doubt he will but what you're saying has no merit VC

Very attacking lineup.....Might be fant

Aparantly not.

Big risk playing Smalling at the back with Evans. Very big. Especially as it looks like Giggs will be in midfield.

SAF taking this lightly again.

wheres RVP

I agree with that, I can't believe he's played tht team. I thought he'd ease him back in with otherwise full strength team

Then surely you would want Rooney then.

No, why?
Being efficient doesn't make someone better.

Madness I tell you.
