Didn't know england even had a game coming up, glad for leon deserves it, although hope he doesn't become an england regular
he's been great this season, well done Ossie lad
will do his confidence no harm at all..let's hope he produces the goods on saturday
I am so pleased for him. Great news, really made my day.
Glad he is in. Technically gifted, can play across the middle, keeps the ball and has a goal in him.
Agree - his performances over the past few seasons have deserved at least some recognition. Well done Ozzie. (But he doesn't get 'capped' unless he takes part in the game does he?)
Nope but all the reguklar players will pull out and he'll start. I reckon he fancies him where Cleverley has been playing as a detatched No10
Ossie is truly an unsung hero for us. He should have had this call several years ago, but we all know there was still a golden generation of players that needed to fail just one last time before they were replaced....
Well done Ossie, for too many years he was the focal point of the boo boys round me. A player every club would love to have, chips in with goals and most importantly he never, ever moans when played out of position!
I liken him to Danny Murphy....Great club player, but not an International.
I like him but agree with Felli above, not sure he's international class, but then again; not many English players are.
If he plays I hope he has a really good game, which will be a massive confidence booster for him, and that can only be good for us, and if he plays really really really well, we should try and sell him for £10M
About Bleddy time! Been saying it for years...
The problem with hodgson is that I get the feeling he calls people up based on what the fans and media want and with no real idea as to what team/squad he actually wants.
Sterling is an example. Should be nowhere near the England squad at 17 but hodgson picks because the media talk about him.
From the England games I've watched so far, I just don't get what team he actually wants. He seems to want to make everyone happy, fans and clubs
Nice one Ozzie, well overdue and well deserved

Ossie & Gerrard in the middle might actually bear fruit.
Congratulations Leon. recognition, at last! Have a great game, even if you only get 15 minutes.
Stevie, why on earth would you want to sell Leon?? He has IMOH been our best player and most consistent for quite a while. When played in the middle he runs the game. Can't see why we would sell a player like that who can still give us another 4 years.
Only joking dads, thought the price tag and the smiley was a clue
