Please, NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA in terms of everything is on a different planet, everything from Draft picks on TV to Trading instead of buying, why bother trying to imitate anything. The sadness is that Football in this country has gone too far to ever be run like that.

Well they will have video replay (goal line) soon, so that is imitating the NFL to a certain extent. I just think the amount of nonsense seen on the field, and the nonsense you have to hear off the field (managers moaning about decisions and opposing players etc) that something has to be done.

Keep the Yanks away from our beautiful game.
Let them concentrate on their own 'football' rules.

American Sport although belittled offers the average Fan far more than Football does here Leeds South, mock all you like.

Yes it is belittled which is why their views & ideas offer no credibility.

Well done Trevor Francis!..

The then Sheffield Weds manager fined Mr fall over and said he would never play for him again!..

I don't know if he ever did or not!..

Some managers should have a bit more steel and do the same, if the players know their manager won't let them get away with it then they'll know where they stand!..

Yank games for the yanks,if you like that follow the NFL or the NBA.
Short memories some have, anyone remember the world cup in the USA,they wanted four quarters, more adds more cash!

Footballl,is the most popular game in the world,if it ain't broke......

I think the Yanks know full well how useless & incompetent FIFA truly are & have tried their utmost to change our game over the years,
They have a point but I don't want them or any of their ideas infiltrating 'our' game.

If you fine diving/play acting, you should also fine deliberate handballs, professional fouls, time wasting, etc, that is not picked up by the ref during the game, all forms of cheating. However in my opinion the game should be governed during the 90 minutes, even more inconsistencies when aspects of the game are analysed/punished after the game.

So fine a player or club 20,30grand peanuts to them.
It's just another form of 'legal' cheating like timewasting, walking forwards 10yards from where a throw in was given, not going back 10yards for a free kick, etc etc.
All part of the game of football, nowadays diving is more prominent as was dirty tackles 20 years ago.
I sincerlly hope football doesn't become all PC.

esteponawhite..."Yank games for the yanks,if you like that follow the NFL or the NBA".....I understand that sentiment from Brits, but to be honest, since living over here, I realise how much better the US sports are run. Yes, we can go on about atmosphere and 'fans' blah blah, but in the end, the US sport franchises put on a great spectacle and such a better experience for the fans. The only Brits that complain are the rabid 'fans' that want to have a go at the opposing 'fans'. I love being a Leeds fan, but I think back to my days standing in the Lowfields, and all I can think is that I was scared of my own people. Is that right? Probably not. And thankfully I think that has changed.

Do the fans in America sing ridiculous or spiteful songs at each other...?

Do the fans in America litter their conversations with coarse language...?

Do the fans in America run onto the pitch and assault players...?

Do the fans in America get 'pickled' before a game then become verbally aggressive over decisions made by a referee....?
