Xenophobia is the debasing of a person/group based on superficial characteristics...

...in my view sectarianism/ racism/ anti-semitism/ homophobia/snobbery and ageism are all born of the same ignorance.

Why not equal racism with sectarianism...they are both based on debasement founded on irrelevant factors.

No because they're a protestant organisation.

We can't exactly join Glasgow Ladies can we. Differences and similarities should be embraced with equal vigour.

Scots: Every now and then people get talking about the lodge on forums. I'm not getting in the mud with you about it,

'Been to a lodge'

You couldn't go to a meeting proper without doing your OD'/RAP

you went to a night there where people- who aren't all members- are their socialising. Of course people in the lodge will be sectarian...just like some people in your work or circle of friends may be.

I was paraphrasing what Scotscelt said!!!

He said sectarianism will never go away while the OO is about which I deduced was the same as saying "Sectarianism will never go away as long as Protestant organisations exist""

Scotcelt, there are plenty of decent people in the Orange and Hibernian's,just as there are decent loyalists and nationalists, decent Protestants and Catholics.
There are also loads of nasty, vile evil people who do not hold religous or political beliefs out there.
Stop labelling people as bad, because they hold certain views as there are prison's full of lowlife, who believe in nothing.

Pathetic holier than thou wee men on here these days.Just as sad as the bigots and racists.

thats very true war but it would defy logic that you would not find the most polorised veiws within organisations that are built upon those said veiws.

Sectarianism is never discussed at meetings...how is the organisation anti-catholic when they don't allow abuse or even swearing at their meetings!
