Wish he would sign competition for Song. That for me should be the main priority this Summer but we don't even seem to be linked with DMs.

I really hope we go for Heitinga. He can play CB and DM and he's equally good in both positions. He wouldn't cost much either, I reckon we could snap him up for around 5M.

Really is a mystery to who we will sign, my personal choice is Samba. Him and Vermaelen paired together is just a scary prospect for any striker.

Vertonghen would be my first choice signing as well mate, he can cover at CB, LB and DM, but I'm being realistic. We're not going to splash 20M + on a player any time soon.

Heitinga is a solid player who will has Premier League experience. He would make a great squad player and add some much needed grit to our side. Imo he would be a good addition to our squad.

Our only problem defensively is defending set pieces, but defending them is not only down to our CBs, we have to defend them as a team, so no individual player can solve that problem on their own. We just don't attack the ball well enough, this problem needs to be addressed with we wanna get somewhere.

Heitinga will add depth, experience and versatility to our squad.

I maybe wrong, but he doesn't look the tallest of players, and I'm sure Everton paid around six million for him, so why on earth would they sell for five, surely his stock has gone up not down, if he's done enough to interest you.

FFS, we had all summer and he and the board waits till three weeks to the season to "find a defender"? How does that work?

I'd take Phil Jagielka over any of Liverpools defenders, and so would they.

jagielka is greater than any loserpool defenders.
