Arteta....what's happened?

He is playing too casually and slow, put coquelin in and take out vermaelen as well.

Take the captain out? To be fair he hasn't been THAT bad at left-back which isn't his position, actually I think he's been ok. We need Gibbs back in the side but unless Wenger changes to 3 centre-backs I think Koscielny will be dropped.

i will put vermaelen there wen gibbs bck

Move Vermaelen forward?

Forget that vermaelen is captain, today was his best performance this season and it was still a basic average one. Put gibbs at left-back when fit and koscielny who was magnificent today with mertesacker.

Arteta wasn't bad today - he was orchestrating things during our best periods today. Maybe he needs to be moved further forward.

I'm sure arteta lost the ball before the 2nd goal! I have to see it agian!

noticed for their second goal arteta was busy complaing to the ref and let the player go past him

very sloppy play but I think he just needs a rest but with diaby and rosicky out it can't happen.

Arteta won't be playing regular football for us next season, I think it is a good idea to implement his replacement at some point this season

that'll be coquelin

Not knowing how Wenger plans to pick our 1st XI when Gibbs/Diaby/Rosicky et al. return is making me more nervous than a hemophiliac carving the Christmas Turkey.

It'll probably be Robin as well

Coq is useless. He is no where near Arteta.

Arteta was always going to wear down. He is small and not used to covering the amount of ground required for deeper midfield players. Whats more they are also required to tackle more that increases tiredness. Plus Wilshere is a yard slower at the moment so is moving ahead of Arteta too quickly leaving him exposed.

It should always be between Arteta/Wilshere to partner a tougher M'Vila/Tiote/etc type player. But we didn't replace Song. Which is typical. Even Barca always employ a tough, stronger, taller midfield player to shadow the creative Xavi/Cesc/Iniesta.

Hopefully when Wilshere has fully recovered we can rest Arteta. Of course it requires us to buy a midfield player. Diaby just doesn't look up to the physical nature of the premiership.

Hopefully we can get Mvila or Wanyama too really good players.

But arteta is playing very poorly so coq is bettter bet at this time

No Song playing alongside him, that is the problem.

M'Villa is a big risk, but I would try Wanyama but with recent CL performances his price will be out of our reach.

United are looking at Wanyama so I don't think we will be signing him.

Well that wasn't a surprise was it! Selling Song at the last moment was always going to be a problem. Arsene never replaces properly, leaving it a year too late.

I can imagine someone coming in after we have sold another key player somewhere else and created another more important need.

Arteta needs a quick, mobile player next to him.

Diaby would be perfect.

Imagine someone like Ramires next to him.
