I have made a point to the op with regards his point

You had a go at a Blackburn fan , spoke of your travel plans then tell me where to go , then have the temerity to say I'm adding nothing to the thread?

Do you think spl clubs could afford the travel costs for these games?

So, your idea could potentially see Killie having to fly to California, to play essentially a friendly that no one anywhere could really give a flying feck about, and thing that the £0.5m prize money would even begin to cover the costs involved?

Or would it just be the likes of Celtic who would "happen" to draw a team from maybe, New York or Boston, away......

Complete and utter non starter.

Outside the OF, and a few ex pats, who in the USA gives a toss about the SPL.

The idea may work with the EPL, where the potential sponsorship & prize money could be increased ten fold, but not the SPL.

Fair points , what side of the border are you on though as that seems to determine whether your points are valid or not

He's away to bed which is lucky for you as it doesn't matter what your point is , according to his rules your point is not valid due to your post code

Your probably right del.
In saying that i find most of their fans quite decent bar the wums coming on our board rating Kean last season because he won a game.
Not to mention the grief we got as fans because we hated the conman and for very good reason.

Fair points but wouldn't be an issue. If Celtic play in Boston or New York it would only benefit the home team with gate receipts. To fly 24 people to Cali will run about 20000 and a hotel for a few nights might double that. 40000 for a guaranteed half mill is well worth it to any team in Scotland. Still it would not be fair on the 5 teams that do travel having to front that, so you would have to split travel costs between all 10 teams or deduct it from everyone's prize money.

I agree the EPL would be more attractive but they would win it with ease. Not much difference between the SPL and MLS.
