A Liverpool pre-season friendly result finds itself the subject of an article on the United board...why is this not on the Liverpool board? Are you too cowardly to post it there? Seeing as the article is about LFC i think it is only fair that you should post it on their board, go on...i dare you!
Well it flushed you out you muppet - bound to find it's target audience as you lot are obsessed about all things Utd
If posted on the Scouse page you lot would have it removed in a flash!!
William, when did you become such a boring old sod?
I am always on here mate...
...and don't you think your 'you lot are obsessed about all things Utd' comment is embarrassing considering the subject of your article?
I await to see this on the Liverpool board soon...unless you are too embarrassed about it that is!
In fairness, BillytBob, if the Liverpool fans had any problem with this particular article, they would appear a tad hypocritical.
I just looked at their board and the articles all appear somewhat defeatest. It is not a happy place. The things they are saying about their own club make this assessment seem mild.
I think using pre-season friendlies as a barometer to gauge the possible league performance of any team is a bit dubious, especially when that team fields a weak team...i also find the fact that a United fan does not have the balls to post the article on the Liverpool board embarrassing and deserving of nothing more than laughter!
Nobody's judging Liverpool as a team based on that game...but it's still fun to laugh at them when they're comprehensively beaten by a team a division below them.
It's not cowardly not to post this on the Liverpool board, any Liverpool fan can see this thread because it's pretty public, and are free to come on and have their say, as you are doing. That's besides the point; the purpose of this thread is to share a laugh with United fans (hence United board), not enter into a territorial scrap with other football fans.
I think "weak team" is a little misleading, Liverpool had a decent enough team out, it's amusing as a United fan to see that they're behind the team we support in terms of preparations for the year ahead. The new season will reveal all, but in the meantime, please excuse us while we have a giggle at our rivals.

How do you explain this comment then, if as you suggest, "Nobody's judging Liverpool as a team based on that game"?
"...and then enter Hull City stage right - time to reset their sights methinks!"
Also, how did you come to he conclusion that Liverpool are 'behind' United? What is this based on, it can't be due to today's defeat surely, seeing as 'nobody's judging Liverpool based on that game'...your words not mine!

Well, Billy, if he seriously meant that comment, then he's an idiot. Loads of hot air and loud shouting gets thrown around in pre-season, but most of it is just slagging. I have yet to meet a United fan who would seriously write off Liverpool on the basis that they lost a pre-season friendly to Hull.
Two things need to be made distinct; whether Liverpool are behind United or not (which isn't determined by the loss) and whether Liverpool are behind United or not in their preseason preparations. The latter is the one I claim, on the basis that United have played well and looked sharp in my opinion, whereas I believe that Liverpool certainly were not in what I saw of them.
But this is not about whether that opinion is right or not; I'm expressing an opinion on how well I think Liverpool's preseason is going relative to United, and I know that the preseason means nothing if you hit the track running in August. Hence, I'm not making a judgement on Liverpool as a team, because I know that nothing substantial has happened so far.
But still enough for me to have a laugh at Liverpool!
